Only people in the wrong don't want transparency, a la these teacher who believe it's their job to indoctrinate or children with their social beliefs instead of teaching

Zoom is a Chinese government owned company. You know for a FACT that they're watching and controlling the narrative. They want to make the kids into Maoists. The entire gender garbage too is going to make these kids brainwashed. It's such an important development stage that the ones in charge really understand how to get into the heads of young kids and teens to morph them into future commies.

I refuse to use zoom, for my kids' school or for work. To the point that I've turned down important meetings because of it.. There are plenty of alternatives.

I'm not sure how zoom exploded into popularity.

Isn’t amazing how Chyna’s Zoom was timed perfectly to coincide with this pandemic?

43
WishdoctorsSong 43 points ago +43 / -0

I think zoom exploded because MS totally fucked up their management of Skype and the market was desperate for SOMETHING.

21
BallsackPaneer 21 points ago +21 / -0

In typical MS fashion their attention span drifted to another, internal competing product. (Teams)

I had a week-long meeting at their Redmond campus a few years ago and it was obvious that Skype was a goner. All they talked about was Teams vs. Slack.

Ditto for the WIndows phone. Most of the kids there (yes, kids) all had iPhones or Android.

Pepbrandt 13 points ago +13 / -0

Exactly what happened. Skype sucks so hard. I swear these tech companies hire idiots who are drugged out of their minds to do the UI.

When Skype started suggesting I become friends with total random strangers and started telling me who's friends with who, I was done. It's like they were inviting predators into my living room.

True. Zoom offered simplicity and reliability over all other products, plus thumbnails of all participants in a single screen view.

Your breaking up.....what? John!!! 15min and a phone call to John later... Zoom is so easy the elderly can use it

8
SemperFree 8 points ago +8 / -0

Slack is excellent. Not sure why everyone jumped to Zoom, it had/has security issues as well.

7
aconcernedtroll 7 points ago +7 / -0

Slack would have been amazing but they killed off what became screens. If you're a programmer, check it out. It's screen-sharing plus actual control sharing. So if im pair programming- I can let my coworker take control to type something and go back and forth. And it's not laggy or anything.

5
operator1214 5 points ago +5 / -0

The growing influence of progressive socialists in that country had a direct relation to the cultural decadence (and cultural collapse) of Weimar society. I don't think the USSR was influencing them with regards to a policy, but they certainly supported progressive socialists in any way they could. Loss of the war didn't help either, but events like Weimar Germany have many causes.

China's fucked 9 ways to Sunday, not gonna happen. I've beem paying extremely close attention to China and the CCP is falling apart hard and ridiculously fast. Flooding, bank runs, imminent collapse of the world's largest Hydroelectric Dam with a potential death toll of up to 400,000,000 people, several spreading viruses, rapidly failing propoganda influence, constant and drastic in-fighting among the CCP to the point of almost factionization, International Pressure, a military that at this time most experts aren't even sure whether the PLA could win against ONLY Taiwan OR Japan, let alone this new coalition, the loss of technological capability due directly toward China's lack of semiconductor fabrication ability as it has almost exclusively purchased these from foreign National, in particular Taiwain (TSMC) and the US. 7 earthquakes in a single week, massive lightning damage, severe economic collapse, Russia essentially siding with us.

The likelihood the CCP survives until their 2025 checkpoint is almost 0%. I'd be absolutely amazed if we don't see the CCP change in form or collapse entirely by January 2022

That is what we need. All classes need to be available via video/stream and archived. We pay taxes for education not indoctrination.

Also, these teachers need to be fired.

4
TheThreeSeashells 4 points ago +4 / -0

I made the same claim in another thread regarding the recording of ALL classrooms. They need to be archived and made available at any parent's request. (I'd even extend it to any taxpayer's request.) All handouts and materials must also be archived digitally and made available upon request. This way the evidence could be used against teachers and the districts in a court of law. This would probably stop most of the indoctrination very quickly. Especially if you could go after teachers directly.

https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/forgotten-study-abuse-in-school-100-times-worse-than-by-priests

This is an article from LifeSite News, which is not exactly an unbiased source but I trust them more than most mainstream garbage media of today. It is difficult to get an exact breakdown if Church vs Public School, but if you crunch the numbers from the same time periods it’s clear that public school is not safe at all, yet was exempt from condemnation.

This was just one article I found when I searched “statistics on sexual abuse in public school and church”. There are many, a lot of them go deeper than this rather short article. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything that would serve as a quick intro for normies other than the LifeSite article, which some may object to.

I have 48 hours to take care of housing and all my classes this fall. Should I go to college or do online community college again to build up credits? Lmk. I was just accepted into the school I’ve been wanting to go to for the past several years, but I don’t think I have enough time to get everything ready Bc they’re doing an early re-opening- opening up on Wednesday instead of opening up on the 24th like usual... that’s what fucked me up I didn’t know ab the early re-opening until now. My parents have the classes paid for so I would need to cover room and board. If I stay home I’ll save $6 grand and also my dog is dying so I would get to spend time w him- what should I do pedes?

Will look into that. Thanks! A family member gifted me a subscription. Once I see degeneracy I switch it off. Surprisingly there are some decent shows but you have to be on a constant watch for nonsense. I notice that a lot of shows start off decent but then they try to slide in some wokeness once you are knee deep in a series. They are counting on you to be so hooked that you continue watching. That's when I switch it off anyway. ANY content that is considered "for kids" should be monitored constantly especially the ones geared for pre-teen/teenagers. Better yet, keep the kids on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood or Reading Rainbow. Sesame Street, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Arthur etc are all suspect. I'm so sick of it I may just head to completely switch to black and white TV.

This isn't my final answer but from what i understand online classes at college aren't any cheaper and you end up doing all the work yourself. If its all general education then go back to community college, you shouldn't have left.

13
Flipbarryfromreddit 13 points ago +14 / -1

Yeah it’s general education, I got into the school that accepted me 5 years ago and I’ve been wanting to go there ever since Bc I regretted going to community college, but facts yeah I just feel like most ppl won’t be there Bc of COVID and I don’t feel like fucking wearing a mask 7 hours a day in class!!!!!!

14
tufftoffee 14 points ago +14 / -0

I just read your edit on your original post now and yeah, ita a no brainer to stay home save money and spend time with your dog. At this point online education will end up being your only option in a few months regardless. Just like they changed the opening date of your school at the drop of a hat they can change classes to online as well.

Ive been to community college and the one around my neck of the wood was very pleasant save for some marxist art teachers lol. It saved me a lot of cash and it was definitely the way to go for GE classes.

6

I would look into tech school. You need to think about the future technology like in aviation and automotive. You got cars and aircraft being built that will be basically computers. Hell passenger jets already fly themselves and most people don't even know that. There will always be a major need for them. I am an aircraft mechanic. Not always an easy task, but the pay is very high for me after 10 years. There are many options for the tech school world. I would look into it while you hangout with your doggo. Also wait til after the election to make a decision. Save your money for now and do some research.

4
Flipbarryfromreddit 4 points ago +5 / -1

Thank you man!!!!! I hadn’t considered this before, my dad had mentioned Tech School but I never gave it much thought. You make a great sales pitch on doing that, you are very convincing pede! You’re right, the world is moving to an electronic filled transportation system w less and less human requirements. It’s amazing for me to see the self driving cars and in real life that were shown on I-Robot in 2005. Additionally it’s been incredible to see the video chatting I saw on the Jetsons cartoons played on boomerang growing up come to fruition as well. I’m very proud of you for being so dedicated to your profession man, and it’s good to see that you’re doing well financially. I will 100% look further into this field. I appreciate it brother! Have a blessed morning. Godspeed 🙏🏻 spending time w my dog sounds like the plan indeed. Just curious tho- why do you think I should wait until after the election? I love President Trump too, but why would Biden have an impact on college? Bc of student loans? Going to bed now, will reply when I wake up. Thank you so much for the help guys!!!!!!!

THIS

I have been going to school at a local CC and I’ve done x3 the amount of work since going fully online, all my teachers do is get paid to sit at home and make videos. And the school gave them the option of going back on campus in fall and you know what all my teachers chose to do?

Take a wild guess.

2
DrNilesCrane___ 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah I agree that a lot of them are super lazy and will just disappear all semester which is absolute bullshit. However here is some context:

I teach at a college and they gave us the option to go back... However it involved:

-splitting your sections into smaller sections for "social distancing" so they'd only be in class once a week, or in some cases once every two weeks

-while teaching, also running a zoom meeting for those not in attendance. I don't know if you've ever used zoom but it's not really a set-it-and-forget-it type of thing

-of course masks, all day long

-sanitizer everything before and after use. I teach in four different classrooms so that would be fun

So I chose to go online because I thought it would be better for my students... No remember which day they are in person and which day they are zooming, no wearing face burkas... I'll still be up on campus, but livestreaming each class from my office, as close to normal as possible

6
ArmyWife 6 points ago +6 / -0
  1. Talk to your parents.
  2. Find out if you can defer attendance and not loose money from the preferred college.
  3. If you can, Return to community college & save money.

What year will you be, sophomore, junior, senior? What major? What's the job outlook in that field? Do the credits transfer from CC to your other college - be careful here, check, call the admin office, and double check. What's your financial situation? There are a lot of other variables.

Of the many things I come across on the internet that redpill me, or piss me off, I don't think anything has made my jaw drop like these tweets. This fucking piece of shit is admitting that he's openly pushing bullshit on his students that he knows parents wouldn't approve of, and that his authority should take precedence over the parent's because of his perceived moral superiority.

I knew education was fucked, I've known for a long time, and I'm not one to really be very dramatic over things, but this is hands down one of the most insane things I have seen in my life. This tweet alone is worthy of a revolution that tears down the entire education system.

Protect your children, pedes. Don't expose them to this blatant, insane indoctrination for the purpose of "socialization"; most of the kids going to these public schools aren't so great that it's worth socializing your kid around their whims anyway (thanks to their parents, of course).

People are finally realizing that too many of our institutions need cleansing, and it's not a matter of weeding out.

Sometimes the forest must burn to start anew - it's why I left advertising. I loved the business, and had a little cloister of people who worked for me who got it, and my team did great work. Eventually the business catches up with you. I was given the choice to produce a disgusting, degenerate, woke campaign for a major corporation, or sell back my measly points and leave the firm. I chose to leave, took the money and ran, and have never been happier.

And I wish nothing but ill, unhappiness, and death on those who stayed to poison the minds of Americans, willingly and obligingly. Because they enjoy doing it - as these teachers all do.

I am a teacher at a private school. From my perspective, any endeavor that seeks to go around or hide from parents is poisonous. School boards need to be empowered, the department of education needs to go away, and the teachers union looks to be getting what the steelworkers union got - their fondest wish. My wife works in a public school, my Father worked in a public school, I have many friends who work in the public schools. These are all good teachers, but all of them are constantly saying " I feel like I should speak out about these abuses, but I'd be fired"

As a community college prof, I only partially agree with you. Yes, not everyone is like this, but they are a growing issue. Example from my school:

Back in May, faculty were having a discussion about what we wanted to do in the fall in terms of online/in person/etc. One english professor literally says that she feels we should shut the whole school down for a year (due to the WuFlu), and the college should pseudo-fire teachers so they can collect unemployment but also be able to easily rehire all the faculty after the WuFlu has passed. Less than a month later, this same professor is marching at the head of a local BLM protest. How someone can mentally reconcile "this is so dangerous we need to close everything for a year" with "I must march in this protest" I've no idea, but that's what it was.

41
Shadowreaper07 41 points ago +41 / -0

You've already answered your own question: "To collect unemployment ... without risk of actually losing their job"

I.e. Profit; via cheating the system.

There doesn't need to be rhyme nor reason to a leftists mantra when occupying two seemingly conflicting positions when you would consider that they will follow anything that allows them to profit without actually doing anything.

It is, by nature, a parasitic ideology which requires a host. Therefore it requires someone else to be earning money such that they are not required to work themselves. (I'm not against Trump and his 8%, but I did consider that this sort of attitude would arise among leftists that 'stand to profit' by playing the system).

These types of people are parasites; and this is coming from an Ex-Teacher (now in the Private Sector).

Adjunct at a 4-year here.. many colleagues who are also gigantic hypocrites. It's a big scam. Several of my colleagues just disappeared last spring when we went online. Many of my students thanked me and told me I was their only teacher who was still giving a damn... And I'm an adjunct making 1/3 of the others' salaries. It's all fucked

By your logic, Joe Biden is likely to win the presidency.

Huh??? That's quite the reach.Your reply also assumes that I get information from social media and attacks that strawman.

I don't use social media. I know many teachers, my mother is a teacher, I have children, I've interviewed a LOT of schools, looked into many teachers, this is a topic I've spent quite a lot of time on.

What I've found is that teachers for the most part are losers. People that couldn't cut it in the private sector and the best they could amount to is mastering an elementary school level of knowledge, and the ability to pass that simple knowledge on to little children.

Not surprisingly, this group overlaps with being majority liberal.

I know three teachers. All of them left the classroom for other professions not because of the kids but because of the culture and bs. One was from ss Chicago. They are good people and I’d be proud to have my kids in their class but I see what’s left and I am not impressed. Our local (city) elementary lost 12 teachers in one year.
Our school board member openly returned my email stating that there is “systemic racism.” Without too much detail the subject was about forced “integration” because my neighborhood is “racist.” We made an economic decision to live here and work for what we have. These are not people who will have the minds of my children.

or you could actually be vocal at school board meetings. Organize a group and protest. Gather evidence and sue them.

Leftist groups have been doing this for DECADES while conservative parents just went "hurr durr guess I'll just pull my kids and go to private school".

And now private schools are turning into the same thing. You want real change? GO TO THE SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS AND BE HEARD.

People are finding the benefit of community (basically a handful of families grouping together) through this whole thing. The parents split time teaching one day a week. Bring back neighborhood small schoolhouses!

7
Isolated_Patriot 7 points ago +7 / -0

This is what a number of homeschool groups do, but it can be quite hard to find such a group of likeminded people, depending on where you live. Hopefully this whole incident will drastically increase the number of conservatives homeschooling and this type of group can become the norm in the near future.

7
Isolated_Patriot 7 points ago +7 / -0

With as few as two families, you can alternate days to teach. With five, you can have a very efficient system (though the number of kids might be approaching difficulty).

You have a group BBQ / get-together every sat, which is your 'teachers meeting' to discuss the upcoming weak. You organize who has is better with which subjects, so the workload is easier on each parent. A whole week to prepare one day's lesson plan. You can all discuss and identify problem areas for each individual child, and work together for a solution as easily as a dinner discussion.

At this point, each parent only needs one single day of the week off to do the schooling. Both parents can work if they choose, and both can even try to get that day off, if you have close to ten kids or something.

It's an incredibly efficient system, with a great return ratio on time spent for the parents, along with great social opportunities for the kids and the parents. It brings total schooling costs to the floor as well, each family can focus on school supplies for their assigned subjects, or you can divide all costs fairly.

Up till now, there just has not been a critical mass of homeschooling parents high enough for this system to work in more than a few specific areas. With enough people homeschooling it absolutely could become the norm.

13
booblitchutz 13 points ago +13 / -0

That’s been the net out for me. Before wuflu I thought home schooling was not possible for us, but we did it (basically) for months and it was fine. My kid liked it, my wife liked it, the only problem is I can’t opt out of the goddam school tax.

If your kids are not learning Grammar, Logic and Writing then they are not being educated. The reality is that being gay does not preclude you from the need to add or spell. Grammar revolution, Sister Miriam Joseph, Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata, Mortimer Adler's How to Read a Book, the Western Canon, the Discoverers, all of these are great books that you can read with your kids and they will get a real education. Check out John Taylor Gatto on YT.

16
PAfem4Trump 16 points ago +16 / -0

Keeping content of materials away FROM parents, siblings, etc. is going to present a problem to their teaching if online studies continue?? oh my.

That sounds like the go ahead to make it mandatory for parents to audit all classes on line or in person........... or better yet get sex education out of all schools and replace it with common sense math instead of common core. Kids should learn about sex literally from the birds and bees on their own at their own pace.

Children of sexual abuse learn about sex at someone else's behest and it does damage instead of teaching - no matter how good the grooming: these teachers are abusing the child who is NOT READY for their "sex education" and the children are a "captive" audience. I personally can't see the difference in sex education at age 5 and grooming.

8
booblitchutz 8 points ago +8 / -0

I’m opting my kid out of the sex Ed in public school, I think. I don’t want that coming from some awful teacher with a perverted agenda. It needs to come from the parents.

1
PAfem4Trump 1 point ago +1 / -0

We learned from each other when we thought the time was appropriate: by we I mean siblings and friends (best friends to this day). Did we have all the answers?? Nah, but we learned as we needed to. Parents only gave hints to us, we had to find answers from someone we knew that knew. Our family doctor was a good source for the technical stuff- my oldest sister got all the scoop and taught all of us.

2
booblitchutz 2 points ago +2 / -0

I guess it depends on the level of trust that you have. I think my kid will take it well from my wife and I. I worry about the “extras” the teacher can slip in between the curriculum. This is a very sensitive subject and children are very vulnerable, especially when they make such a thing of it. Even the “best” teachers have opinions I find wrong. Just not worth the risk.

1
PAfem4Trump 1 point ago +1 / -0

Can you go to a public school and opt out of sex ed.?? Something for my grandchildren to look into here in PA ; for their children to stay in their local schools but let them miss the indoctrination to any type of sex would be ideal.

(what I picked was biologists, doctors nurses scientists engineers mechanical people farmers and the rest were woman for breading and repopulating sorry ladies it was for population growth, come to find out she was married to a black football player I was sent to the office, nothing happened though. This is the scariest thing I've read on here. Because it involves kids and these people thinking they have some secret divine knowledge about gender and social issues that they must impart unto students even if the parents might not be okay with it.

All these teachers with "she/her" and other gender identification ideology on their profiles should be investigated.

Teachers, like lawyers, are a dime a dozen.

It's rare when a teacher makes a significant, positive impact on a kid's life.

I think about 2/3rds of the kids who go thru public schools in this country maybe have one or two teachers they remember from their days of schooling that changed the way they learned or think for the better.

But most have little to no impact. And those ones certainly do not put kids and their education first.

I got into a pissing match on R/Professors because I didn't agree with their narrative/tweet of “no wonder your kids are rebelling, you sheltered them and now they are meeting diverse people” The other professors couldn't wrap their heads around how the frontal lobe is vulnerable until about age 25, and how it is good to have good caring parents!

I now teach on Zoom (I have full control of the classroom, not China) and my students have been able to be vulnerable, They have discuss innermost feelings, more than I would have expected in online learning.

My students are also adults & I could care less who else is listening. (Usually cats, dogs, and small children)
