I made this post mostly for my own save list for future reference, hopefully it's useful to others.
Spez: it always gives me a good feeling getting a sticky, thanks for the good feels mods. Also, cheers for all the comments, learnt a bit from reading deeper into the issue with all your opinions and examples of what and why this is very bad. Reading some people think this is one of the most disturbing things they've seen is a real perspective eye opener, forced me to reevaluate what was happening morally and socially to create my own new opinion on what is happening here.
I have 48 hours to take care of housing and all my classes this fall. Should I go to college or do online community college again to build up credits? Lmk. I was just accepted into the school I’ve been wanting to go to for the past several years, but I don’t think I have enough time to get everything ready Bc they’re doing an early re-opening- opening up on Wednesday instead of opening up on the 24th like usual... that’s what fucked me up I didn’t know ab the early re-opening until now. My parents have the classes paid for so I would need to cover room and board. If I stay home I’ll save $6 grand and also my dog is dying so I would get to spend time w him- what should I do pedes?
Perfect 😂 yeah if I choose to do online they better give my fam a discount or else I’ll do another semester at community college and stack up my credits
Speaking of which can anyone chime in on whether Hulu is any better than Netflix? I know with Netflix there is a steady normalization of grooming/child porn. I am starting to think it is it the same no matter what you choose.
The wife just bought Hulu Live. The commercials are nothing but woketard drivel and forced racebaiting in commercials. Every time you see a white man, he's either a soycuck or a big dumb goofy guy. They call it "programming" on the "tele(pathic)vision" after all. We already canceled. It's the same shitty shows anyway.
This isn't my final answer but from what i understand online classes at college aren't any cheaper and you end up doing all the work yourself. If its all general education then go back to community college, you shouldn't have left.
Yeah it’s general education, I got into the school that accepted me 5 years ago and I’ve been wanting to go there ever since Bc I regretted going to community college, but facts yeah I just feel like most ppl won’t be there Bc of COVID and I don’t feel like fucking wearing a mask 7 hours a day in class!!!!!!
I just read your edit on your original post now and yeah, ita a no brainer to stay home save money and spend time with your dog. At this point online education will end up being your only option in a few months regardless. Just like they changed the opening date of your school at the drop of a hat they can change classes to online as well.
Ive been to community college and the one around my neck of the wood was very pleasant save for some marxist art teachers lol. It saved me a lot of cash and it was definitely the way to go for GE classes.
I have been going to school at a local CC and I’ve done x3 the amount of work since going fully online, all my teachers do is get paid to sit at home and make videos. And the school gave them the option of going back on campus in fall and you know what all my teachers chose to do?
Yeah I agree that a lot of them are super lazy and will just disappear all semester which is absolute bullshit. However here is some context:
I teach at a college and they gave us the option to go back... However it involved:
-splitting your sections into smaller sections for "social distancing" so they'd only be in class once a week, or in some cases once every two weeks
-while teaching, also running a zoom meeting for those not in attendance. I don't know if you've ever used zoom but it's not really a set-it-and-forget-it type of thing
-of course masks, all day long
-sanitizer everything before and after use. I teach in four different classrooms so that would be fun
So I chose to go online because I thought it would be better for my students... No remember which day they are in person and which day they are zooming, no wearing face burkas... I'll still be up on campus, but livestreaming each class from my office, as close to normal as possible
What year will you be, sophomore, junior, senior? What major? What's the job outlook in that field? Do the credits transfer from CC to your other college - be careful here, check, call the admin office, and double check. What's your financial situation? There are a lot of other variables.

Great post. I wish we'd been able to archive more. But... these conversations will continue.

You have to be older than 16 to post here.

Take a wild guess.

My post grad college looks impressive but all the real work was done at CC & state colleges.
Go to tech school
