I get where she's coming from, in a way. I used to be a small group leader for youth at our church and had a group of 9th grade boys. We were encouraged to create a safe space where they could share, talk, whatever away from parents - this is actually important for kids' maturity and development. Sometimes it's hard to talk to your parents about stuff. BUT (and it's a huge BUT), the difference there is we would always loop the parents in on the conversations after the fact, ESPECIALLY on any sensitive or serious topics. Yet another example of the extreme left taking a decent idea/practice and turning it into shit.
Yeah, but it should also be expected and understood in an educational setting, not just a youth group setting. I'm saying a teacher creating a "safe space" for kids should be encouraged, but the parents need to be in the loop about what's going on since it's ultimately their responsibility. I'm a parent now, and teachers work for us, not the other way around. That's the paradigm shift that has occurred.
It's even deeper. Without God, everything gets compressed into a lust for the NOW. No generational handoff, no investment in the future, no preservation of the past. Those things you describe are branches of the cultural rot, not the root.
It goes even deeper than you describe. Globalism is an attempt at a common, godless justice, the chaos is just the ingredient to rebuild not the goal. It is nihilistic, so it will destroy generations of progress should it ever come to full control.
