So I took the train from Dallas to Cleveland, stopping in Chicago to change trains. I'm on my way back and just got to Chicago..... I've been up since 1 am... everything in the food court is closed because riots. I have to sit for 4 hour waiting for my train wearing a stupid mask because plague. I have freaking had enough of all of this bullshit.6 months of freaking shutdown and masks and six feet apart bullshit, almost 3 months of useless rioting. When is going to be enough??? Can't wait to get back to Texas. Fuck this.

End of rant.

Sorry to hear how you're getting fucked around with this shit going on, you'll get through it eventually, but holy hell what a fuggen pile of shit all this is.

I have 0 desire to travel anymore because it was pretty bad already before this shit ramped up. I think it's just all been a set up to fuck us all up.

Sometimes I think that too. I was taking my daughter back to college, after she came home with me in March when I came to visit during spring break and all hell broke loose with the pandemic. The trip up was great but this is the most I've had to wear the mask and I am just done. the riots over an armed man getting shot by police after he shot at them just added shit frosting on the shit cake.

Trump signs an EO putting Democrats in a tough position. They have to distract so shit like this happens. At some point the voters in blue states will need to rise up.

Used to love to travel and now I don't want to leave my sleepy little Texas Town where even my liberal neighbors are heavily armed. There will be no riots here.

Me too, but in Florida. I was thinking maybe a trip to the Georgia mountains. They are based there.

I have never been so happy to live in a rural area. Hardly ever wore a mask, no riots. Its pretty great. Don't know how people in the cities can mentally deal with all the bullshit.

I'm ready to move to a more rural area.

black death lasted 300 years but they were actually dying from it.

this plague is more political tactic than illness so you can expect it to last for the rest of civilization.

You picked an even worse day than usual to stop in Chicago. Sorry, fren.😣

FRONT_TOWARD_LEFT 10 points ago +10 / -0

I hear you.

I flew Southwest last week. As if the masks themselves weren't bad enough, the gate agents and flight attendants were all chipper as can be about enforcing the bullshit. They were never this strict about all the other stuff I saw them let slide over the years, but COVID has really brought out these people's inner tyrants.

This is the time where it’s pertinent we pray for all the good Americans, of all races, who are forced to live through this shit in those places protecting their families, jobs, and businesses.

Last time I was in Texas (late May) there was a state-wide mask mandate.

Yep. 🙄

Except it’s 102 in El Paso and you have to stand in line wearing a freaking mask just to go into a WalMart. You have to wear a mask to walk through the door of a a restaurant just to sit down and take it off again. And still many places won’t let you go inside even with a mask. You have to order your food outside and wait for some kid to bring it out to you. Still plenty of bull shit down here.

This is true, I live north of big D, and I avoid going out because of the stupid mask thing.

Listen to the "Grumpy old Bens" podcast of 2 days ago ("Mask hole hero"), Bemrose gives plenty of reasons why a mask is a bad idea.

I am so sorry...that you had to visit Chicago Pede. Stay safe out there!

Bigger_igloo 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ironically, I too go from NTX to east side of Cleveland. Havent done it during scamdemic yet, but Chicago would be the last place I'd wanna have to stop on the way. Curious, though, how much is the trip? I usually drive, but it's like 2 days with a camp-out overnight in Kentucky/Tennessee.

Local news anchors pushing hard for a race war here if the covid does not get everyone first. Looks like most Texans are not buying it.

It starts with you. Take off that silly mask.

Don’t worry if the food court’s closed, in Chicago, that means it’s open for looting!

Went to Chicago last summer. Really enjoyed it. Went to some bars, ate at some good places, just had fun. A year later it’s a dumpster fire. Real shame

Have faith pede. It will all be over November 4th

Although I abhor many cities' leftist political bullshit, I have always wanted to live in a city like Chicago given that I live kind of close (not close enough to experience rioting however).

Honestly these days I'm reconsidering.
