Canadian pede here as well, and there is more support in the west of the country for Trump than you might expect. Many people in Alberta are deeply pro-military, pro-police and for smaller government, and a LOT of us are really tired of the fact that every Canadian political party is some form of socialism.
I've been a fairly vocal advocate for seperation since not long after I got into politics thanks to Ron Paul's first run. Ideally I'd like wexit to happen, but we would need a brand new constitution because our founding document is...lacking to say the least.
That said I love the US, I've vacationed to rural Montana many times, and if given the choice between staying tied down to the east of Canada or joining the US I'll take that every day and twice on Sunday, even if all I got was the First and Second Amendment.
