That's a heartbreaking picture man. The struggle to get the loans , build the customer base, set up the suppliers, that family has probably helped dozens of people in their community.

Even with insurance, cleaning it up and restocking going to take weeks. This lunacy has to stop.

Insurance adjuster just left my house, had some hurricane damage and a very rude awakening when I realized that the wind policy has a variable deductible of 1%, I should’ve paid attention to this, but $7k annual premium is insane to then have to pay multiple thousands of $ in a deductible for any roofing work. I hate insurance companies, completely useless.

Chris Rock said they shouldn't call it "Insurance" they should call it "In case shit" because in case shit don't happen you get your money back

Except you don't get your money back. Ever.

I think my works health insurance has some scam put 2k pretax in this account, but if you don't use it you lose it at the end of the year.

How absolutely dare you act like this couple's livelihood is more important than the community's need to grab a few bottles of liquor they didn't pay for in honor of George Kirby?

Insurance usually excludes man-caused events like riots and/or terrorism. It's a near certainty that the couple in this picture just lost everything.

Why clean and restock it? I'd be putting all the usable merchandise in boxes, packing it into trucks, and throwing a lit molotov cocktail into the building as I drove away.
