These actions are what cause businesses like grocery stores and shops to flee these areas. Its not racism. The cost of doing business there is too high because these communities encourage robbery and property destruction.
My town had blacks bitching about no grocery store in town, so they spent 2 years lobbying big chains to bring one in, got some 3rd rate regional chain to do it in exchange for massive tax incentives. They lost so much from shoplifting and theft of shopping carts, they put poles in around the lot to keep the carts from being taken. Then blacks bitched that somehow the anti cart theft poles were 'racist' and shamed the store into removing them. In 6 months they closed in bankruptcy because of the losses from cart thefts (and massive shoplifting).
And even if it did, do the morons burning and looting their own towns not understand that when the insurance check shows up, the property owner sure as hell isn't going to rebuild what they burned down, he's building somewhere else where moron dems don't tell the cops to stand back and watch the looting. "Newark, 1968 - coming to a town near you!"
Retail tends to have very low profit margins, maybe a couple percent. It's going to take a LONG time to earn back the losses, assuming they reopen at all. If your business is going to get looted every few years, there's no point opening at all.

Yes, I might get money back at some future date. But i have to suffer the consequences and losses NOW. There will be a delay before the payout. You can be sure the insurance company will pay as little as possible. And until then, you can’t make any income (but the outstanding invoices for the stolen stuff are still due).
Basically, it’s very hard to keep the business alive long enough for “insurance” to have an effect.
Even if they have riot coverage, they have to wait for the payout. So unless they have cash on hand to cover the cost of new inventory and overhead while they get back on track, they are out of business and their life is ruined.
And that would be seriously awful to report to insurance. First of all you have to clean everything up, figure out what was stolen, itemize, report, hope for reimbursement for the cost of the item, not lost profits, not lost time.

We aren't too far from people like Elon hiring Blackwater security to guard dealerships. These guys will literally mow over anyone with so much as a brick in their hands.

It would be interesting to see a US map depicting where this is the case. Generally insurance companies have escape clauses for everything.
