But, and I don't know if this was Kojima's intent, I don't know how the Japanese view abortion (Though I can't imagine they're anywhere near as flippant about it as westerners, knowing what they think about family and honor and all,) damned if it isn't an incredible argument for the personhood of the unborn.

I would go and read it and relay the info to my wife, stuff like “weeks 8, 9: baby is developing fingernails and can hear your voice”. (I don’t remember each one verbatim, so don’t call me on it) anyway we were in the week 22-24 one and I’m reading all about how the child is fully formed and that really they just get bigger from there. Then the last line was “This is the earliest that a partial birth abortion can be performed.” It was just horrific to see that my daughter could legally be killed, especially at that point. I didn’t read that to my wife.
