I had to read this a few times because at first I thought it meant she was going to kill the kid. Jesus man, where the hell is God now ? If this were the God of the Old Testament he would have sent all of these modern day Sodom's into a hellish fire.
Matthew 24:
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
It will never stop. It's being going on since the old testament. But you can be saved from it, and spend eternity with Him by simply receiving the gift of salvation.
Salvation is gained by faith (Ephesians 2:8), by receiving Jesus as Savior (John 1:12), and by fully trusting Jesus alone (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).
I've always found it interesting how there are seemingly 2 different versions of the God of the Old Testament. Love me for I am benevolent. Serve me, fear me, for if you don't I will smite thee. It is almost as if perhaps 1 has a false persona based around the human ego, and the other is the true essence of what love is.
