I remember going with my wife’s OB for our first kid. They had a “fetal development” chart in the patient’s room. I would go and read it and relay the info to my wife, stuff like “weeks 8, 9: baby is developing fingernails and can hear your voice”. (I don’t remember each one verbatim, so don’t call me on it) anyway we were in the week 22-24 one and I’m reading all about how the child is fully formed and that really they just get bigger from there. Then the last line was “This is the earliest that a partial birth abortion can be performed.” It was just horrific to see that my daughter could legally be killed, especially at that point. I didn’t read that to my wife.
