CIS is one of those words that was never needed. What's the etymology of that, anyway? Can't Identify Shit?

Then there's "cisnormative;" yup, normal. As in, before SSM legalization, more than 99% of the population.

STOP using their words! You're either a female or a male. This "cis" crap is yet another invention of the left, NEWSPEAK to attempt to lend credibility to the FALLACY that one can change one's sex.

The context I remember cis/trans being used - back in the day - is chemistry with cis-isomers and trans-isomers. I assume that’s where the LGBTQIIA+MAP community adopted it from.

it was very much needed in organic chemistry, from which it was probably borrowed (cis/trans isomerism)

very meaningful and useful there; not so much, elsewhere.
