And what did homeowners and store owners do with that insurance money after their homes and businesses were destroyed in the 1960's riots? They took their checks and left town to rebuild someplace else. They left desolate wastelands behind them where no one would invest or hire. Dumbasses in the inner cities somehow think this time will be different?
What's that they say about those who do not know their history? Guess the current generation will find out the answer to 'why won't companies / investors build businesses in black communities' never really was 'herp derp, RACISM!' but in reality it's always been if you burn other people's things, they stop putting their things where you can burn them.
I get your point, but my point was that when these folks burn and loot the places right in their own towns, where their friends / family / neighbors have (had) jobs, where they shop, and where the taxes subsidize their town's operations, they're hurting themselves and the pain will linger for generations.
Sure it will ; this time the federal government is going to buy up vacant houses in decent neighborhoods and turn them into Section 8 housing, to export the inner cities to the suburbs, the small towns, the relatively sane cities of the red states. (That was one of the first Obama programs Trump ended, and that was reason enough in itself to be glad he won.)

They don't even know about the 1960's riots and the aftermath.

an then when that happens they'll call it white flight and call it racsim
Most policies exclude riot damage.
car flooded during hurricane. I go to insurance tell them I have full coverage and get back
"Uhh you needed 365 coverage." What the fuck. Why call it dull when it isn't. Insurance companies will fight to not give you the full amount.
Car insurance is arguably "good" about claims, probably a bad example, honestly. I understand the sentiment.
