I worked for a food manufacturing company that attended the big yearly convention there, and smaller events throughout the year. I would bet they're not even planning on any of it, this year - but covid was already killing the convention business.
Chicago is/was a hotbed for food trends and such, because of their restaurant scene. That's already pretty much wiped out, this rioting is just pissing on it's grave.
A lot of them won't. And a lot of them will get insurance bills after two rounds of complete rebuilding and restocking, that will be so costly, it won't make sense to do business there.
And then the virtue pimps like Sharpton will call them racists, for denying black people their goods and services.
