It really frustrates me when I read/hear this wording. It should read, "The state has lost significant revenue from the the decision BY POLITICIANS to shutdown the economy."

None of these government entities have reduced the number of employees or made cutbacks to their spending.

I may be wrong here, but can't the states opt out of the unemployment expansion, thereby not having to take on the "burden" of their portion of $100 per week.

It boggles my mind that these governors can't comprehend that this free money will stimulate their states' economies, thereby bringing in more revenue. The Dims always see the pie as a fixed size. Grow the pie and your portion becomes larger.

This is why brilliant. $600/wk all fed UI means D governors get taxable income, then spent in local economy. No reason to open. But when fraction is State $ (100 /400 ), the D states don't get free gimmies, having to pony up one quarter, so now have incentive to open up and get back to work.
This is where we can flip the blue states against themselves. Tell them that the governor has the money for unemployment but is HOARDING it. Blue states have the most angry entitled people so once you tell them they can't get their free money, they lose it.

FYI.. In the Communist Republic of NJ state worker are still "working" from home. Better yet they're being paid FULL salary to stay home and not work, still collect full benefits,still accruing personal time and sick time, still no return to work. Murphy is paying tens of millions a week for state workers NOT WORKING! Fuck NJ I hope it goes bankrupt and Murphy gets cancer.
