"The state has lost significant revenue from the coronavirus crisis."

It really frustrates me when I read/hear this wording. It should read, "The state has lost significant revenue from the the decision BY POLITICIANS to shutdown the economy."

None of these government entities have reduced the number of employees or made cutbacks to their spending.

AND they cut off their own revenue streams by shutting down anything that would bring in taxes.
