Someone outside the perimeter apparently fired a gun, so they took POTUS out of the briefing room. Then they let him back not long after that, and Chanel Rion asked him a question that made him rip on Obama. Leading to him saying this.
FINAL CLARIFICATION - No firearm was found on the suspect.
"Berryman was shot twice in the torso, according to the law enforcement official who was not authorized to comment publicly. No firearm was found on Berryman, who was listed in stable condition Tuesday. The official did not identify the item that Berryman pulled from his clothing."
CLARIFICATION 2 - at least one source is saying, ""A senior official told ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl the shooting happened on 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The suspect opened fired on a non-White House employee and a Uniformed Secret Service officer returned fire, according to the official.""
CLARIFICATION - The secret service fired a gun and shot a person. According to John Roberts (second hand through Trump) there were two shots. To my knowledge, It is not clear whether the suspect fired a gun, or had a gun. Trump made it clear that it was SS that fired the known shots.
edit: "No firearm was found on Berryman, who was listed in stable condition Tuesday. The official did not identify the item that Berryman pulled from his clothing."
, there was an "armed" person who fired at a government employee.
This claims, "A senior official told ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl the shooting happened on 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The suspect opened fired on a non-White House employee and a Uniformed Secret Service officer returned fire, according to the official."
While he was giving the press conference, SS called GEOTUS out of the room. Several minutes later, he returned to finish the press conference. There was some situation outside White House fence that led to a suspect being shot. GEOTUS finished the press conference very high energy, answering a question of if he was rattled with "Do I seem rattled to you?" That's pretty much the story so far.
Shot? fired outside whitehouse, SS escorted him out for a bit, then he came back to finish the speech. Everythings fine and as usual he came out like a boss. "Do I seem rattled to you?" lol
I just barely heard about the shots fired, does someone mind filling me in or linking me? Thanks in advance.
