Oh at 47, you’re in menopause.

I guess (maybe) for most women by the time they hit 47 they're either starting or in menopause, but I know that for my mother that certainty wasn't the case. My mother gave birth to my younger brother two weeks before she turned 47 (naturally conceived, no issues with child or mother) and didn't start going into menopause until she was over 50. But, my guess, is that she's just a rare exception to the norm.

Not necessarily. I specifically said "pre-menopause" because that is a thing and not the same as what happens in actual menopause. I know my mother for instance, did not go into menopause until her 50's and neither did I. I did however start experiencing some things in my late 40's that I read about and it was called pre menopause.
