It just dawned on me: About 5 years ago when most of my friends still had fake ID’s, there were a few states that were always used for fakes because their ID’s had so few security features. It made them super easy to replicate. Of course it was always the biggest swing states like Ohio, Michigan and Florida. Legislators in those states would continually vote against enhancing the security of their own drivers licenses. Hmmm I wonder why???
Also, I specifically remember all the ID’s coming from China. There was some clearnet site that everyone used. It was a super obvious name like fakemyID . com or something. You’d pay like $100 and get 2 ID’s with your real picture on it + someone else’s real address and a made up name of your choice. What if the only reason these states are “swing states” is because of fucking China?
Edit: I’m pretty sure I heard some time ago that the site I am referring to has been taken down, but I am sure there are hundreds of others that have taken its place. It was always amazing to me that the feds took so long to seize that site. Every college kid that I knew, knew that that was the site that you go to in order to get fakes. It must have been responsible for hundreds of thousands of fake ID’s. And given the next to nothing cost of making these ID’s + the next to nothing shipping rates that USPS gives to China, they were probably making $99 per transaction.
I bet almost all of these are for swing states that are close.

FL now has a bomb-ass “real ID” that’s very difficult to fuck around with nowadays.

You do in Michigan since 1996. It doesn't have to be a driver's license though.

No idea. You do here in Virginia even though we are pretty much a blue state now. Our driver’s licenses are also very hard to replicate
Florida has had a very secure license for at least 7 years now.
That's supposed to be a Michgian Real ID, the gold star in the upper right signifies it. Polling places don't check security features.
