Maybe they think they all look alike and they'll be easier to use? Maybe these aren't random IDs at all and they're shipments for operatives. This bust raises so many questions.
idk... do these states even require ID to vote? Also, media is shit... they'd purposefully pick the one expired ID out of 20,000 to 'protect the narrative'.
I live in Michigan and yes, they asked to see my ID every time I have voted. You also have to fill out a little card and sign it before voting. They still use paper ballots.
However, when I lived in Nevada, all they asked for was my voter registration card which does not have any picture on it. They had early voting at the Malls which was 100% electronic so you had no idea if your vote was really counting towards who/what you voted for.
Whitmer extended expiration date for licenses here because the Secretary of State is so far behind due to the pandemic. You do have to show ID here to vote IN PERSON but the state sent mail in ballot requests to everyone. Funny they had time to do that but not process license renewals.
I can confirm. Secretary of State offices (we don't have DMV) are appointment only and every office that I tried to get into was booked up for the next 2-3 months.
To get in sooner, I had to spend an entire day refreshing the website for locations within 50 miles of me to snag a cancelled slot. Otherwise, my license (even with Shitmer's extension) would have expired before I could get in.
If you scan the QR code or linear barcode on a Michigan license, it just contains all of the information that is printed on the license itself. The same goes for the magnetic strip. I know this because I was working on a project that used that kind of equipment and used my license to test the equipment.
Weird how you need a valid ID with your exact matching address to exercise your 2nd amendment rights guaranteed in the constitution, but you can just walk up and sign a paper to vote.
Issued 4/20. Expires 4/20. Cute.
They also used a black man. Racist projection from democrats again
