Our US companies must work on extricating themselves from China, before the shit hits the fan. China is evil and can't be trusted.
Their values are so different from ours. We naturally project our good values onto them, but they're not there. In China, they actually believe that their strange brand of evil is virtuous; that one is good and smart if able to take advantage, cheat and swindle others in business dealings. The harm done is irrelevant. They think their victims are stupid suckers who are to blame and deserve the abuse they get!!!
As much as I agree with you, it would be economic suicide to do that at the moment. Our economy is unfortunately and simply too entwined with China’s to just jump ship overnight. We put all our eggs eggs into one basket. And it just so happened to be THE communist basket. We first need to diversify a good portion of our manufacturing imports before we abandon China. The focus at the moment needs to be doing that as soon as possible.
