Well, they are stupid. Stupid and short sighted. Insurance companies won't cover retail stores if this becomes the norm. Now a store gets looted and the owner can't afford to replace the product, the store closes and goes under. Now you have job loss and ruined infrastructure and real estate no one wants to move into. These are literally children who think like this.

No insurance coverage, or excessive insurance premiums, means impossible to do business.
No big business, means ethnic local stores, bootstrapped and unmaintained, will be there to feed them. And amazon to deliver shoes, clothes and electronics.

anyone that files a "looting" claim is likely to be denied. if they are not denied, their rates will be going up, significantly.

Insurance generally does not cover rioting and civil unrest so don’t expect these stores to be reimbursed
