It’s not forcing the prosecution it’s about whether or not they get to file an amicus brief. I think that just means they have a few pages written by outside lawyers arguing why the prosecution shouldn’t have dropped the case and that goes into official record. Written by Andrew Weissman of course.
If a judge is not legally allowed to prosecute a case.....then a judge cannot continue a case that a prosecutor doesn't want to prosecute.
