Steamboat Willie? Disney has been evil for a long, long time... That's a reason why almost everything they do is a perverted version of another story (even Mickey was a character Walt stole - https://nypost.com/2018/06/30/walt-disney-stole-the-idea-for-mickey-mouse-off-his-friend/, and in his early iterations had incredible visual similarities to an already existing popular character - Felix the Cat), from their twisting of the Grimm Fairy Tales to The Lion King and Frozen being taken from Japanese animation. Evil cannot create, only distort.

The Lion King is definitely Macbeth with African animals while also drawing let's say... heavy inspiration (though fervently denied by Disney and their hardcore fans alike) from Kimba the White Lion, a Japanese animation from the 70's(?).

I would not say the early animators were evil, as they probably had no idea what they were contributing to and were working with the best intentions and following their passions. Naturally, it's even worse now as they have been moving in lockstep with society's march to degeneracy (if not being one of the leaders who push it), and that's how more people are coming around to it.

But it makes you wonder, for the people who thought the Disney of their childhood was good but the new Disney is bad, how would they feel about the Disney of today if they were kids now? Would it be the same? The Disney of today is good but the Disney of twenty years from now (assuming they continue on the same path) is bad? An interesting hypothetical but we'll never know for sure.

Lion King is a near scene for scene rip off of an anime telling the same story. They literally just changed the first letter of the main character.

This is the sad state of many things we hold close that were deceiving us and making go wrong from the very beginning.

Once we let go and discover what's truly satisfying and fulfilling to the soul, we'll discover the classics of the past - "religious" and "secular" - again and have a new renaissance.

Absolutely, it can be very hard to open one's eyes to such things, which is the perspective I imagine the people who down-Trumped me were coming from. And no judgment at all, I understand how much attachment people have to things they grew up with, God knows I am not immune. But with love and understanding we can definitely achieve this second renaissance you spoke of and I am looking forward to it!
