The Lion King is definitely Macbeth with African animals while also drawing let's say... heavy inspiration (though fervently denied by Disney and their hardcore fans alike) from Kimba the White Lion, a Japanese animation from the 70's(?).

I would not say the early animators were evil, as they probably had no idea what they were contributing to and were working with the best intentions and following their passions. Naturally, it's even worse now as they have been moving in lockstep with society's march to degeneracy (if not being one of the leaders who push it), and that's how more people are coming around to it.

But it makes you wonder, for the people who thought the Disney of their childhood was good but the new Disney is bad, how would they feel about the Disney of today if they were kids now? Would it be the same? The Disney of today is good but the Disney of twenty years from now (assuming they continue on the same path) is bad? An interesting hypothetical but we'll never know for sure.
