I use the preinstalled keyboard from my phone manufacturer and it works. Not sure about the issue you're having but maybe try peeking around DDG's faq or help

what keyboard do you use? DDG seems to force swiftkey to incognito and there is no option to switch themes when that happens :(

when trying to access it with brave when it was up I got an unsupported browser page with 7 different browsers to choose from.
