I mean, by the laws of physics that is acceleration, just slower not faster

It is, actually. So is deceleration. Not sure about decelerated.

Acceleration can mean either slowing down or speeding up. Its still the right word. In either situation. Isnt it?

Like flammable means the same as inflammable. Like "lithium stores in Beirut are "inflammable."
