Of course you are correct but this is about hypocrisy. I really don't think you could find any living person who doesn't have an ancestor who owned a slave, historically.

I mean my great grandparents on my dad’s side came from Russia, I don’t think my family owned any

Slavery as an institution isn't limited to 19th century America. All nations and people groups have owned slaves and have been enslaved. Chances are, most of us have ancestors who owned slaves and ancestors who were slaves.

Yes but it only counts if they where white, and you’re not a democrat.
