Idiots just do stupid things, though. Things that at least have some kind of discernable goal, while lacking in critical thought. A guy breaking into a store and sets off the alarm because he wants to steal an expensive TV. Someone robbing a bank calls an Uber because they want to get away. A woman brings her meth to the police because they advertise on Facebook that they're offering to check your drugs for harmful additives. Idiotic, but based on some sort of conceivable rationale.

These people throwing themselves in front of vehicles like this are so incomprehensibly counter-intuitive that I can hardly even call them "idiots," it just doesn't do justice. It doesn't just lack critical thought, it defies it. It is an offense to reason and purpose. It's like they are compelled by unseen forces to do the most nonsensical thing imaginable in the given situation. I'm serious, I feel like my brain is being twisted into knots just watching this video, as a result of how much sense their actions don't make. It's not just an extremely low level of intelligence, or an absence of intelligence, it's like anti-intelligence. It's like the cosmic opposite of what even a very stupid person would do.
