I think that is the one thing that could actually spark a major conflict. Without the EC something like 5 counties out of 3,007 would decide every national election. I could see real talk of seceding from the union in that case. But the EC is in the constitution and they would never even get close to enough support to amend it out.

So is the bill of rights, and look at how much those are being ignored and trampled over? While taking years in court cases, only to trample on them even further? You honestly don't think they'll just EO the electoral college out of existence? If libs get their way, no amendment needed. They'll just do it.
