Even Dr. Nasia Safdar, the medical director of infection control at UW Health, said in the link here, that there is no reason to wear a mask while home alone. She said the only reason to wear a mask at home if if someone has it and lives w/ a vulnerable person. And she's probably a Muslim -- if this is all about forcing us to all wear head coverings all the time, because it is obviously about control of some sort, not our health or God forbid, "science". I was so happy to share yesterday's report that those gaitor things are actually worse than wearing no mask at all with my sister, who has been wearing one all summer and acting like she's Joan of fucking Arc somehow.

It is hard to look at each other as humans if we are all wearing masks that prevent us from identifying each other or creating a social bond. I already had 2 Karen encounters:
One in Germany in the bus. She sat next to me and demanded I wear a mask. I said no, and if she has a problem, she is free to sit elsewhere. Then she made some provocative remarks, but I ignored her.
Then in the airport: There was a male super-Karen, demanding that I pulled my mask over my nose before he let me through to my seat (in Hungary people just wear it below, and not everybody wears it). I did so... until I sat down, then I pulled it down. He went hysterical and demanded I pull it back up. I said no, and I tried to argue with him - but he was absolutely fanatic. He called the male stewardess. They forced me to pull it up, but I told that guy to fuck himself. He called the male stewardess again. He was a very hysterical, weak minded personality. He was seated away instantly, he called me a moron, I laughed and enjoyed my flight with an empty seat next to me, able to breathe like a fucking human. It was clear, everything went better than expected.
The best way to fuck with Karens is to wear the mask and social distance but fake cough constantly and watch them freak out.. then point out they are "perfectly safe" because of mask and distance!

I know a few people who are upset over it verbally, but put theirs on in public because they don't want trouble. I haven't been able to go anywhere except work (thankfully no masks there) for weeks. Kim Jong Andy Beshear said the mandate was only going to be for 30 days, but of course as I predicted, he extended it another 30 days. That fucker...It'll never go away.

But like take home depot, this employee freaked the fuck out that I wasn't wearing a mask. But when i called later that week, the manager from that store said they don't really give a fuck. So unbeknownst to me, I could have escalated that situation with the HDepot freak and gotten her a nice lil write-up. Now I know.

i was a dental assistant for a long time, and the article I read about this yesterday actually does have some inconsistencies and dumb shit in it... like the idea that meth mouth comes from grinding or snacking on shitty food...
no, it comes from dry mouth. The enamel on your teeth is very hard, but porous, and it is meant to be wetted regularly. If it dries out for too long, it degrades the integrity of the enamel, causing cavities eventually. And that's not some advanced dental concept, everyone in dental should understand that.

idk, all i know is some otherwise heatlhy 19 year old girl came down with mask-related pleurisy a week or two ago.
Mammals weren't designed to work this way. Having the free flow of air and expulsion of CO2 is the way nature designed it. If it wasn't, nature would've evolved so that we would have some kind of membrane filter for our lungs that stops all bacteria and viruses.
Of course there's going to be negative health effects from wearing these things especially all day long, day after day. I'm sure there's already some solid studies out there proving how harmful they are but those are being suppressed by the media, politicians and big tech. We've seen here on T_D people posting OSHA regulations about their use. Kids are going to be at risk for wearing them day after day.
Right now, there are NO known cases of an asymptomatic child passing CV onto another person. In fact if I recall, they still haven't documented one case of any asymptomatic person passing CV onto another person. Kids tend to be very active, they don't wash their hands well and that's eventually going to have serious health consequences for them. You don't have to be an infectious disease specialist to understand basic common knowledge and apply common sense to it.
That bacteria leaves when you breath. But with the muzzle it builds up on it and eventually you breath enough of it back in to get infected.

I was at a shopping mall recently and the video screens that normally showed store ads and events were showing a loop of kids repeatedly putting on their masks. I'd never felt the feeling that I was living in an Orwellian dystopia so strongly. I got sick to my stomach and just got the hell out of there.
Dominos and Walgreens commercials proudly feature children happily wearing them.

I was on leave when I went back to work they had canvas posters of people wearing masks at their desks (which we are not required to do right now.) And then they told me my coworker who refused to wear one was fired.

I'm with you. I don't wear one into any store that "requires" them. The local police and Sheriff's office have said they won't enforce and not to call 911 for mask complaints. Nobody has said shit to me about it.
Went to vote in person yesterday and there was a guy walking out with a mask on. I thought I might have up wear one for a minute, but there was no sign on the door, and as I was looking a police officer came out a nearby door. I asked them if masks were required and was told no. Went in and none of the elderly people running it were wearing one either. I love my small town in Wisconsin.

I run around town with my camo neck gator at the ready. I don't give a shit if it works or not. It's just to pass through the doors and check out my things. Texas is under mask mandate so EVERY store requires them. Once I complete my purchase, it comes off before I'm out the door and I never put it on in public or outdoors.

TBF some people can't even walk into work without one, so they get a pass. Also, not every Trump-supporting patriot is of the sort to battle authority or start a scene. In every war, not everyone helping to win is able to be a front-line warrior. Some people, it deeply aggrieves to be in conflict that they are generating and are unsure or unequipped to control. Some were beaten as children and made to avoid eye contact, much less arguing. They can't be expected to change their entire makeup overnight. They get to vote Trump and support him in other ways, they're pulling for the team.

All true, for anyone. You ARE medically exempt, if your condition is that you follow sensible advice from doctors like the surgeon general and Fauxi, who BOTH very pointedly said not to wear it. But I won't call any Trump supporter any name for still wearing it. It's like the income tax issue: I object and I educate, but I pay. Because I can't be a front-line warrior, one who challenges the IRS to show where any rule or law says that filing a tax return is mandatory (they can't, because no such rule or law exists, but for not paying they can JAIL you—which is not on my list of things that can ever happen) or that those who trade labor for dollars thereby earn taxable "income" (they don't; it was an even exchange, so you didn't come out ahead; paying taxes on it as if it were actual income puts you in the hole).

I haven't had anyone at all get in my way. Of course I've been locked in my house for 6 months straight starting my business so I haven't had much human contact anyway and no one's really bugged me all things considered.
