I think it was someone else's dad who was sick, I remember someone in that thread talking about his dad. Mine is thank G_d not sick, or at least not from COVID. Haven't seen him in person since March, not taking any chances. Thank G_d for teleconferences, we try to get together on Saturday nights when we can.
I'm doing well, no sequelae from the COVID that I'm aware of, trying like heck to keep those 15 pounds off that I lost in the hospital. Tested negative in June. Starting to lose a little hair, I'm not too worried about that. My wife has some psychological issues from her illness and mine, she's working on that. Kids were never tested but were quarantined with us, assuming they had it asymptomatically.
Oh, I thought your dad had it too, and that is why you weren't going near him. So he didn't get it again. Your wife had it too? Wow. Well I'm glad you're not doing too badly now. I didn't realize there were after effects, but I do vaguely remember someone else talking about hair loss recently.
I was sure happy when the docs came out in support of HCQ recently, and then the President endorsed it again. Thatis all I wanted all along, then look what happened. Stunning. Pretty apparent this is all a plan. I am furious about it. People are dying without it; it would have save thousands, & 1/2 or more of the country is clueless what is right in front of our faces. Insanity. We can't get HCQ where I live (CA), but someone here told me where he is - in WI - they not only can't get it for CV, Lupus patients can no longer even get it either! Anyway, you were very ill and it's good to her you were a success story.
Yeah she was also down with it. Didn’t get pneumonia, so she wasn’t hospitalized, but had dizziness and weakness. She was remote teaching, so she didn’t have to stand up that much, but she wound up having to take a couple days off that the school district didn’t want to give her, and the teachers union (UFT) made itself useful for the first time in history and got her her sick days.
LOL, the Teacher's Union. Reminds me of something I read about the county I live in. It was in a tweet and I am sure whomever posted it just decided to post it because it was so ludicrous, & they wanted others to see what idiots they were dealing with at teacher's union. Anyway, Board of Education I believe, approved schools opening in the Fall here, (IDK if that has changed now, thx to Gov.,) but they said the Teacher's Union voted against it opening . . . "due to a scary story they heard in a Tweet". That's it. That is why the teachers apparently were saying they didn't want to return to the classroom. If it was true or not that they believed that and it was the real reason, IDK. But if that was just a lie to stay home and follow the Left's directions to continue to keep everything shut down, which I am leaning towards, you'd think they could have come up with a more intelligent-sounding excuse than that! smh.
Anyway, glad you wrote back. I was looking up something online, just to try to be proactive in case something happened and someone needed to get HCQ and couldn't. I'd heard there are substitutes for Quinine (how to make it yourself) and also it is in tonic water you can get at the store, (Schwepp's, Canada Dry, etc.) and I wanted to know how much Zinc a person should take. It said for a female 8 - 40 max. mg. - listed for all ages and male or female etc., (I think it is in link I am sending you) because it can be toxic if taken in too large of an amount. So, HOWEVER, what I noticed in the process and am attaching - it says, HAIR LOSS - can be caused by a Zinc deficiency. Maybe that is your issue? Sounds possible to me, but what do I know? IDK but here is link for proof and I hope you guys are back to normal really soon. You especially came too close to not making it!
Hey, I talked to you on here a couple of months ago right after you and your dad were sick. You guys doing OK now? Hope so!
