The USPS is federally subsidized, but is intended to work seperately from the government and make money. We are subsidizing the loss of money every time China or Amazon ships something through USPS. The USPS has been horribly mismanaged for decades. It is way to top heavy with way too many employees making big bucks that never touch the mail or even have seen the back of a post office. Add on the terrible Amazon agreement that has resulted in workers injured, overtime, and people simply quitting and it is a recipe for disaster.

Since COVID stated the USPS has cried that they are going broke because of it and if they don't get money soon, it will be the end of the post office. Have you seen Amazon's stock? It was under $1800 per share before COVID and today they are over $3100. They are our biggest customers. FEDEX was below $90 per share and its over $200 today. UPS was under $90 and is near $160 today. How can these 3 companies be booming and the USPS crashing. How is it the new PMGs fault when he has been around about a month?
I'm part of a hobby group that ships cards through the mail and they think that the recent uptick in lost packages has everything to do with the new General and not with the fact that everyone and their mother is ordering shit through the mail instead of going to the store. More mail order = more lost mail. Seems really fucking simple to me.
