What's the most breathable fabric I can buy for a mask? HR is complaining about the window screen mask I've been wearing.

Lace panties or womens thong underwear

Or even better, just a pair of whitey tighties over your entire head. Cut out eye holes with scissors. Not many corporate policies actually stipulate minimum mask requirements.

wear a bandana

I feel like a bandana makes me look badass, but works just as effectively as other loose underwear mask.

You should ask them to send you some valid scientific studies that you should use to make an evidence-based decision.

N-95 - expels contamination directly into environment

Surgical - reduces critical medical supplies, requires training to be effective, otherwise increases risk, studies show even trained professionals can’t maintain proper hygiene more than a few hours

Cloth - not effective at all, creates face-level plumes of disease particles and a jet of infection directly into the eyes

Bandana - inneffective barrier, but at least it can be worn loosely to reduce direct lip and skin surface contact with contaminated mask

Respirators/Gas Masks - Scary, introduce other health risks when used long-term

Great answer...ask for evidence "so you can make an informed decision".

Invisible masks are the easiest to breathe through by far

I had a cloth mask my wife made, but switched to the cheap paper ones that are available everywhere. The can be adjusted so the airflow comes from the sides.

100% cotton thin washcloth fabric, like for babies, is very breathable. And obviously a very washable mask material. If you go to Ornamenture on Instagram, she makes masks and would make some for you anyway you like. She is making masks for a lot of people, full time. Some of hers are very custom, reversible, quite nice, and in themes. She is a client of mine, that is how I know her.

Fish net stockings, the most breathable out there besides au natural.

I wear an under armor type neck gaiter. It’s proven to be the least effective which is why i chose it

Bandana or papr. PAPR is the best for breathability but super expensive.

No mask at all.

No one wears anything on the shop floor, but the white bitches on the office freak out. This is my third official complaint :/

Have it recorded on your e-mails. Tell them that you can't wear anything else. Try not to give thrm any more information. Just get them to harass you on e-mail or recording if your state allows it.

Get "sheer" window drape material

Ok serious answer, get a very thin cotton fabric and make it into a two layer mask with a pocket. Then insert a very small amount of coffee filter paper just to show you have a filter in there and shove it to the side. If anyone asks or complains the fabric is too thin, you can show the filter in your mask.

You want 100% cotton with no pattern or anything printed on it.

I have this mask. Super comfy and breathable. It's from a company in South Dakota, so bonus points for Governor Noem

Use fleece. It's the only material that tested as worse than nothing for spreading droplets.

You know those full body colorful suits people wear? I bet that material is pretty breathable

Harambe 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah dont they have neck/face masks made of that stuff? Forget the name of them.

I think it's basically spandex. Not awful, but certainly not window screen level of breathability.

Gimp mask or ball gag.

Titan93 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hahah. Tie some Kleenex together

Or just color a mask on your face with a marker

Cheese Cloth is technically a cloth (it's in the name, bigot!) and cloth masks are acceptable.
