You people are nicer than me...I never yell at the people working that ask you to put it on when you walk in (I am never wearing a mask)...but if someone in the store says something...I lose my cool pretty fucking fast on them.
I don't know how you do that with huge signs in front of the entrances that say no mask, no entry. Pretty much every store in California has these now.
Easy, you walk inside and simply don’t wear a mask.
There is no medical benefit, only risk of respiratory illness. But it’s America so if you want to subject yourself to lung infections and mandated authoritarian bullshit, that’s on you.
Consistently when I go shopping I am usually the only one not wearing a mask. Occasionally there will be one other person but it’s not often. No store has ever asked me to leave. But I always get double takes from everyone. Honestly it does make shopping a little uncomfortable, but I don’t care. I will show these people that they can take a stand.
Well thank god I am not in Cucked California (BTW California should be the shining jewel of our country)....lol...That being said, they all do every store here...every restaurant as well. It is usually some poor kid, I am never mean to them because they are doing their job. They never even bat an eye. If a store wants to kick me out they can. Plenty of options. At places with a liquor license I will hold a mask over my mouth until seated...my being an ass could cause someone to lose a liquor license and those are hard to come by....I do not want to adversely affect anyone's business.
Signs aren't magic. You can still go in if you have the nerve. If a manager/owner wants to say something to you they can, but they probably want your business more than they want to virtue signal. Try it and see. The worst that could happen is they ask you to leave.
Home depot can NOT make you wear one, they have the signs and they will give you one, but they can not make you. Per the Manager at one of the largest HD's in Atlanta.
Publix, a little 20 something came rushing up to me stating they had a complaint that me and my 13 year old were not wearing masks. I advised her" I am so sorry that person was so rude as to complain to you without knowing or asking my medical history. I am not putting a mask on my 13 year old, she needs all the O2 she can get. I can not wear one, I am disabled per the VA. That was ignorant and rude of that person to trouble you with that."
Thanks for this. As an employee of a big box retailer we can written up or fired if we dont say something about the mask. It's super frustrating for me because I dont want to be wearing this mask either! But they watch the cameras and get after us.
Hopefully once my husband finds a full time job I can leave this bullshit behind but until then... thanks for not yelling at people like me!
"I am obliged by a directive from management to request that all our shoppers wear masks." if you say it with an eyeroll and the proper lack of enthusiasm, I bet the shopper will get what youre really trying to say.
Yes, I try to be civil to store employees, but if it's just random people, I have to remind myself to ignore them. It helps that if they're making a snide comment under their breath, I usually can't hear them.
I got the feeling some Karen was coming down on the store I usually go in because when I went in, the mood was entirely different and one guy was sanitizing carts like his life depended on it.

Huge fan of “lick my fucking balls, stupid cunt” regardless of gender assumption.
Since seeing the light I’ve always got “Fuck off faggot” loaded in the chamber ready to go.
It’s worked thus far.
Would love to use but I do not want to get pulled in front of a "HUMAN RIGHTS TRIBUNAL" for saying naughty words that hurt someones fee-fees
Blah
My mask got cold, I shoved it up my ass to warm it up, you're welcome to grab it for me.

call the manager ahead of time, and ask store policy on medical exemptions. Then you will know instantly if they will actually kick you out or not.
I have a mental note of places that let me in after doing just that. Usually the only person with no mask too.

Sad thing is a simple “I don’t fall for propaganda. Thanks though.” should suffice.
There shouldn’t be any need to explain or conjure a medical reason.
I agree, but I was killing her with kindness.
Pretty sure my response would have been, "CoVID isn't sending you to the hospital, I am... if you talk to my child again."

That's actually really advice. I'll try it this weekend! Thanks!
