He's much more useful if lefties think he's not fully redpilled.

I don't think that they have the collective attention to detail to notice this.

To be honest, I don't think he has a lefty viewer base. His viewers are either Trump supporters or people already well on the red pill path. Just look at the comment sections on any one of his videos.

In fact, I don't think he's ever really had a lefty viewer base, he's only made a handful of videos many years ago that I could see lefties wanting to watch, and most of those are videos with very tiny view counts. He just merely identifies as Democrat, so people assume his viewers are Democrat. But I think he lost most of his liberal viewers long before he got big, so never had much of a liberal audience to begin with.

Even 4 years ago, his average video view count was just under a few thousand views. He still even has videos from back then that have 500-1000 views. I wonder if Tim Pool would seem red pilled if his viewer base was different. I think he knows he owes his success to conservative viewers, and he'll take it where he can get it, because he certainly wasn't getting that success from lefties.

So really, the context of his channel should be seen more as, "Conservatives watch guy who identifies as Democrat become red pilled", rather than, "Democrat red pills other Democrat viewers".

ProfessorRomendev 6 points ago +6 / -0

Well, I was a democrat when I started watching him 3~ years ago, so at the very least I think it’s a small mixture of both.

In fact, I think I started watching him a little before I stopped watching The Young Turks

That's true. He did at first though.

Let's be honest, Tim doesn't even know he's a Trump supporter and most lefties think he's alt-right anyways.

He's the poster boy of The Left Losing the Left

13
memtndude 13 points ago +13 / -0

I dunno. I think Dave Rubin is the main squeeze.

5
AmericaFirstBro 5 points ago +7 / -2

Dave Rubin is a banal idiot.

3
LionTed 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, his show is good, but he himself I wouldn't call the poster boy of anything.

2
memtndude 2 points ago +2 / -0

No. He's nowhere near an idiot. He also has a massive following, and is responsible for moving a lot of people from the ridiculousness that is the left.

52
Nadlers_Belt 52 points ago +52 / -0

I see his TimcasIRL cohost Adam and him had a falling out and Adam announced he left the show today.

27
Barthaneous 27 points ago +30 / -3

That stinks . I liked Adam and how he was a great cohost. Shame.

Eh. Such things happen. They both seem like reasonable guys, though. Hopefully the break was amicable.

7
MustBeTrump 7 points ago +13 / -6

How on earth do you watch Adam and think "reasonable guy"? He acts just like a lefty, he just happens to support Trump.

18
Staatssicherheit 18 points ago +19 / -1

I think he is reasonable. He doesn't act like a millennial lefty who wants to shut down free speech and individual rights.

12
AmericaTheGreat 12 points ago +13 / -1

What makes him unreasonable?

20
MustBeTrump 20 points ago +21 / -1

He thanks Tim constantly for waking him up to the nonsense of the left and then throws a tantrum every time that Tim disagrees with him or tries to correct him on an issue that Tim is infinitely more educated on.

It's an infuriating pattern of their relationship, Tim will agree with Adam and because Tim doesn't specifically say "I AGREE, LET ME ADD ONTO YOUR STATEMENT" Adam just assumes that Tim is arguing with him and gets worked up.

Almost all of their arguments or disagreements are simple misunderstandings or Adam not listening.

16
leahcim 16 points ago +17 / -1

Yeah I see that too. Watch Tim Pool enough and you get his schtick when he's disagreeing with Adam on something just to make an obvious joke that extends Adam's point further. Yet Adam falls for it every time.

But Tim has been kinda "know it all" sometimes too, I think lately he's being trying to just say "I disagree" instead of "You're wrong" cause it does come off harsh.

Problem with Adam is he is more of a sidekick personality, Tim is way more dominant and because of that i actually give Tim some respect as he holds it back pretty well and let's Adam be more of a cohost. Adam may also just needed time to get more used to it as Tim has been doing it for much longer.

5
shockfactor 5 points ago +5 / -0

Dude, I really can't stand adam being on the podcast as the second chair.

I like him as a person, and think he has a place on the show, but Tim needs a better spoken second chair if he's going to have one.

Adam steps on his lines often. Tim might make a good, well researched and carefully worded point only for adam to stumble in on top of it with half-remembered bullshit that doesn't add to the conversation.

Having Adam say "Yeah!" or "Thats right!" after every line does not add to the show.

His girlfriend and Adam are his friends, but they drag him down when they speak instead of helping him shine.

3
MustBeTrump 3 points ago +3 / -0

100% this, I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. He then gets offended too when Lydia or Tim try to fact check his statements to make sure that they're not peddling fake news and he'll always make bratty comments like "well that's my opinion, my opinion can't be wrong" or something gross.

8
MakeArtEndHollywood 8 points ago +11 / -3

"Acts like a lefty" is just a stylistic preference that is unrelated to reasonability.

Here, I will describe the process by which I came to my conclusion:

  1. I watched the show.
  2. I listened to Adam's statements and observed his body language, etc.
  3. After observing Adam's behaviors for a time, I decided that I thought that his long-term behavioral patterns indicated an underlying mental reasonableness.
  4. Therefore, having made such a determination, I found it reasonable to think the statement: "Adam is a reasonable guy!" in an exclamatory manner.
  5. Having determined the reasonability of said thought, I proceeded to think the thought quoted in item 4 in the manner so prescribed.
3
H_Guderian 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, he's now emotionally on board due to the positive affirmation. I don't get Adam the feeling he has read a book on anything he feels strongly for. You can see Tim stare him down when Tim wants to make a point and Adam is talking about feeling and whatever meme was up on T_D. Memes are fun, but shouldn't be one's main political education.

14
JigglesV 14 points ago +17 / -3

Prob cause Tim is always interrupting and one-upping everyone

19
deleted 19 points ago +20 / -1
4
MustBeTrump 4 points ago +6 / -2

I actually agree with this, I just think Adam takes his one-upping as disagreeing and then they argue pointlessly, and then when Tim clarifies, Adam does the insufferable "Say you agree, Say I'm right, moving on... superchats!" every time, it's incredibly toxic and childish.

5
Minarchist_Manlet 5 points ago +6 / -1

It's "toxic" now? Can we not play that game they do on Reddit? 🤣

Tim actually even once said "no I don't agree with you and here's why" and then repeated exactly what Adam just said. Always being a contrarian for no reason would annoy anybody.

1
MustBeTrump 1 point ago +1 / -0

Provide video evidence of that quote and I won't use trigger words like "toxic" for you.

1

I don't know where everyone is living, but was wondering what was going to happen to Lydia and Adam when Tim moved, and how they would continue doing the show as normal after he moved. Like, were they both supposed to move with him?

He did say moving was imminent. if you do a nightly show, when does one move?

He's more of a business man than a Trump supporter imo. He knows what will grow an audience in 2020, so he does it.

4
MakeArtEndHollywood 4 points ago +5 / -1

A profit-minded businessman, eh? Sounds like a Trumpist to me.

7
had-to-chime-in 7 points ago +8 / -1

Tim's claim to fame was accepting PJW's challenge to go to a shithole town in sweden and document it

I've heard nothing but conservative viewpoints from him ever since.

Not sure he was ever a leftist.

5
sdl5 5 points ago +5 / -0

He started at OWS and covered Feguson and many domestic and intl conficts live video journaling.

Sweden was when many outside the left bubble found him, but he was legend on the left before they REEEEEEd and shunned him as alt right.

This is still an interesting point. My wife who had a Spanish surname has gotten quite a few calls asking who she’s going to vote for and what she thinks of Trumps policies. One question was if she believes she had/s been treated unfairly because of her ethnic background and that one she flatly said “no” and that she “may actually have an advantage” considering the region we live in is majority Hispanic. Anyway as an oppressive cis white male I have never been polled either.

3
Grunge 3 points ago +3 / -0

I get calls all the time because of my last name. They never know what I am so they assume ethnic minority of some sort. I play with it on most calls. But I always let them know I am not a democrat and do not support bad policies.

The lies I get texted to me are hilarious though. I should blast them for all to see. Voter manipulation is real.

His friend ... Adam(? I just started watching him again I'm not 100 percent on his co-hosts) certainly is a Trump booster.

2
ShampocalypseWOW 2 points ago +2 / -0

He's already admitted that he will vote for Trump.

2

Yeah I caught that too. Granted I thought it was pretty obvious he was a Trump supporter anyways but it was still funny hearing that slip.

1

Tim already said that if things don't change, if the vote were today, he will be pressing the vote for Trump button.

Kamala sealed the deal for him, he's dealt with too many crooked cops in his life and knows exactly what she would do if elected.

Biden would be "retired" in the first month and our guns would be outlawed.

1
bays2023 1 point ago +3 / -2

Everyone knows Tim is a Trump guy, he just hasn't admitted it yet.

1
ShambolicPaul 1 point ago +1 / -0

Usually it's the same 1500 or so people polled over and over again. They sign up and are paid for each poll that they participate in. It's supposed to show changing attitudes over time in a populace that's supposedly already made their mind up.

Obviously you all can see the problems.
