Told me a long story how they have liquid sodium cooled reactors where they can turn the pumps off, and the temps are stable, on the shelf, ready to build. All of our nuke plants are 70's tech, we have multiple, multiple generations of that, that is cleaner, more efficient, and safer, but when it was brought to Clinton, he passed on it, for crony deals and sleaze with outdated, dirty energy tech.
It's just a god damn, dirty fucking shame. We have practically unlimited, safe, clean power, and it's unused. All the while coal fired energy is belching smoke into the air. All so Clinton could get just a little more blood money and blowjobs. It's 2020. We should have an amazing, cheap, efficient power grid. But we have shit. Business has been strangled to such absurd levels that you need to invest a ton of resources just to figure out how to get around all these regulations. In many cases, like nuclear power plants, it's simply impossible. And we are left with rotting infrastructure that only ends up being worse for the environment.

Fission can be dangerous at times but I can't see a downside with Fusion.
Well, there is the fact it has to run at 80 million degrees C to work. Tends to be rather bad if it escapes.
