I have to work tomorrow. Yet I sit on my patio in air you can wear (humid, it is Gulf coast TX} smoking ciggies and drinking wine and thinking...why did I lurk so long? This is the place to be....I only wish my glasses wouldn't fog up. And I don't wear a mask. This Hispanic Female Pede is so thinking TX is not going to go purple.

Love it when we women speak out. It's a nice night outside in NH as well.
We women must vote.
Yup.
we can make the difference
We need to counter the vote of the women who vote dem. There are a lot of them. Believe me.
I have come to the conclusion that we must counter the votes of all that vote Dem. I have never voted straight line, but this Nov. I will.
I have a few times. I will this year as well.
I don't vote straight party. I don't believe in it, I think it's dangerous, I firmly believe that every race should be evaluated on the individual level and not the party level.
I voted straight party in 2018, despite not believing in it, for the first time in my life.
And I'll do it again in 2020. And every election until the point that the democrats regain their senses and bring rationality back to the table.
Because, as far as I'm concerned, the Trump republican worst case scenario is better than any democrat best case scenario.
I like my America great.
wow I never vote straight line. Really. But I will this November. I can't believe I have come to this
I agree! I live in the deep red zone. A pickup down the street has two very large Trump flags attached to the bed. One is the gladiator Trump! We have a roving Trump gear stand that sells swag. Great area and no Biden junking it up.
I live in Houston...I see more Trump signs than Biden's. I don't even see them in the 5th or 3rd Wards (TX 18, Sheila Jackson Lee's district) when I drive to work. I change my mind, I will work as hard as I can to change Houston PURPLE.
Benjamin Franklin's comment at the time of the signing of the Declaration of Independence:
"We must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately."
Greetings from my west coast porch, where the weather is perfect. We did however have some chemtrailing 2 weeks ago or so and afterward we had a very chilly/wet 3-day break, but then it went back to nice weather.
I have a smoke and a toke and a decaf covfefe just idly perusing new and contemplating going back to my westworld binge. But someone told me it's not any good past season 1 or maybe first few eps of season 2. So now I don't know if I will go back to it.
I need a good series to binge-watch preferably one that is already completed. I prefer the romantic/sci-fi/fantasy type series-es. hard to find one these days that isnt trying to add Woke to every freaking plotline.
Ozark is very good. Not sci go, but worth the watch.
dang, thanks, I'll give it a spin ;)
Sounds like too many tokes to me and I never drink decaf. That's like drinking non alcohol beer....WHY. You sound like a Tendie
ah lawd, well like 10 years ago i got meningitis. And it took me down so hard, it was like recovering from Lyme disease. Ever since then for some reason, I am super histamine and caffine sensitive, even a half a cup would send me careening into a panic attack.
But, I still love covfefe, so I has to have it. I never ran out during the Great Supermarket Famine, because nobody buys the shit, kek. So that was nice.
I used to be a barista, I drank about a pot of coffee or so a day. That changed kind of overnight after I got so sick. It was brutal. I wouldn't wish that kind of sick on anyone except Hilldawg.
Pardon the interruption but I know several people who's lives are completely dependent on caffeine. It is a powerful drug, with strong addictive properties, as well as intense withdraw symptoms.
As a non coffee drinker, I can be honest about the effects when I occasionally partake. It absolutely jacks me up, not unlike more powerful stimulants (supposedly, allegedly) do.
Society has deemed caffeine as safe, but I'd suggest that some people are highly addicted to it and suffering substantial health consequences as a result.
Be well, pede.
aye, and you as well, fren!
And this is why I don't drink Decaf
As someone who grew up on espresso, I feel you on the decaf thing. Although when I’m sick and want something soothing, I might drink a herbal (usually ends up being decaf) tea.
Sorry about your illness, but I'm talking an epiphany in my personal political life, and you are talking about Westworld. I'm cool, I don't think we are on the same page. But Hey....
welp, congrats on your epiphany, I'll take my idle frenchat elsewhere.
yall have a mighty fine night now.
Thank you. I was not prepared for idle chat. We can talk about binge watching the Mandalorian. I hope you are a Star Wars fan. This is a great series. "This is the way" may have been my first redpill.
Westworld was really good but the commie message through the whole thing was very annoying
yeah totally! the wokesterism is stupid, and they think we can't see what theyre doing. ass holes... anyway... got any good recc's? I just got done with salem, Lie to Me, the Mentalist, vampire diaries, true detective. salem and vampire diaries were both totally barfy and stupid. Lie to Me was really good.
I liked lie to me!
Altered Carbon was cool. Dark Matter is good. The 300 is good. The Following is good, has Kevin Bacon in it.
Better Off Ted is good, pretty funny. Dead Like Me is good.
You can always re-watch the old classics like X Files or Star Trek TNG too.
Thats just off the top of my head
wow, this is a freaking TROVE, you are awesome, ty!!!
which one has the most satisfying conclusion? I'll start there first.
Hmmm honestly not many have particularly amazing conclusions. I think a lot of times the writers just keep the story going as long as there are people still watching it, so I feel like most shows in gensral just fizzle out or get too complicated.
Altered Carbon wraps up nicely, I think. Two seasons, its on netflix.
I also just remembered Marco Polo (period drama /action series) and Community (comedy series). I haven't finished Marco Polo yet but it's good so far. Those are both on netflix
Also Dexter is incredible, you should see that if you haven't yet. Doesn't drag on too many seasons, and concludes the series really well.
yeah, that's it I'm sold on this altered carbon, now I've got some goodies lined up I can watch while I'm on the treadmill.... yasssss....
TY!!
👌🐸
Just wanted to say that Star Trek Deep Space Nine is amazing! It starts off a bit slow for the first few eps but ends up being my favorite of all time (including TNG). They do arcs more like today’s television that is great for binging but was less common when it came out.
Good tip, I'm making my way though TNG right now. I think I'll just watch all the series in order. I love the Borg story arc in TNG, how unstoppable and unknown they are. The Borg just show up and fuck up everybody's plans lol
I have no idea why I'm feeling compelled to say this but, Bless You.
Thank you and I'm glad you didn't say "bless your heart". You will know what I mean if you are from the south,
Yeah I'm from the south. South England lol. Now Cali!
Thank you for not saying "bless your heart" I appreciate your blessings. I need them as I work through
Jeepers bless your heart would have been an insult. Unless you are Kamala, in which case bless your heart.
Lady pede here. 8:40 pm in the desert. Still 103, but it's a dry heat. Also drinking wine, and finally feeling a glimmer of positivity about things. I never have thought Trump was in danger of losing (definitely not complacent), but I finally feel like there's a veil of ugliness being slightly lifted.
I'd love a dry heat...But don't think the veil is lifting. I have many friends that don't get it. The veil is still there. I live it. I chose to lift it.
101 in Memphis yesterday. It was most definitely not a dry heat, lol.
Just became "based" I've lurked for over a year. The Covid thing is a redpill and I swallowed it. My 80 year old mother is scared....That makes me think.
¡Bienvenidas, pede Tejana!
gracias
gracias y estoy muy feliz de estar aquí.
I like you! You keep doing you!
I'm in the middle of finding me and I'm liking it. "This is the way"
Ha ha welcome former lurker . This place is the ONLY place to be .
Welcome Lady Pede. Have a Coat.
Thank you. I've lurked enough to know this is an honor
Better yet, have a brick.
Signed, Another First Generation American (Cuban parents) in Katy
lol keep at it yo, it's gonna be a real world ride to november
I've always loved America. I'm first generation. My parents are immigrants. They became citizens and love the USA.
Please make Hispanic Texas hardcore conservative.
I will do whatever I can. I'm not sure I'm hardcore conservative yet. but I know we can't go democrat/liberal/leftist/communist any more.
You are. Embrace the truth. "Hardcore" is simply a normal freedom loving, truth seeking American. It is the left that has gone full totalitarian.
The old descriptors don't work any longer. If you like freedom of speech, want our country to succeed, and believe in individual rights, that's hardcore today.
Welcome, fellow female pede! So glad you lurk no more!
Kick the cigarettes, my friend! We need you alive to help us fight commies!
My drug of choice, but I know....I am so stressed.
Nicotine vape is much less dangerous, just a suggestion. Ultimately your business is not my business, but that's my friendly encouragement! I'll leave it at that and wish you well
I thank you. I am an "essential" worker and go to work. Nicotine has become a stabilizer for me. I know it's bad but.....
NO BRAKES!
<3 YaY TEXAS GALS <3
God Bless Texas
Shit I can't even IMAGINE wearing a mask in TX in this fucking heat. AC been roaring for 5 days straight even at night cause it's just unbearable.
Thank god for sheriffs not being cucked cause Abbot would have fucking killed me with his mask order in this weather.
don't wait til TX turns as purple as your wine
I miss Texas, I live in FL now, but I think when this gig is eventually up I'm going to sell and move back.
It’s stupid hot in Florida...and I was born here, you’d think I’d be okay with it. I had moved out to Southern California and upon coming back to FL, I was thinking, “Jeez, I don’t remember it being this humid...”
you're cool! :D
THAT'S MY SISTER!
Love you Hermana.
Very diverse thinking!
