I 'member when Trump said we're gonna decriminalize homosexuality worldwide. (And appointed Richard Grenell to lead the way!)

A leftist wrote an article saying Trump was just a racist trying to use lgbtq issues to weaken Iran.

Admitting for the first time that the left uses lgbtq issues to weaken countries they don't like.

  2. Put a for sale banner at the top with an email address.
  3. If you want to get fancy set up an autoblog system
  4. Use it as a home for all your own OC and fav memes and shiz from here you like.
  5. Some combination of the above
  6. Profit from lels or bucks... but either way...

You still have the idiots out there holding Trump is a Nazi dictator signs, while they freely protest him and nothing happens to them. If your signs Were correct the government would just come in and arrest you and you disappear or shoot you on site and walk away like nothing happened. They are not the smartest bunch of people out there.

Her: Trump is a dictator!

Me: If he were a dictator, you wouldn't be allowed to say he was a dictator.

Her: That's only because others in government are fighting back against him!

Me: If they can fight back against him, he's not a dictator.

I used to do street magic in my younger days. The "smarter" people were always the easiest to fool because you can lead them down a false train of logic more easily and do the trick while they're distracted and think they have the trick figured out.

There are some ideas that are so stupid that only intellectuals will believe them.

3
ArdentGrasshopper 3 points ago +4 / -1

Excellent! Throw us some stories!

1
itsdangerous 1 point ago +1 / -0

that argument sounds like 2+2=5 to me

0
MakeArtEndHollywood 0 points ago +2 / -2

"Stupid" people are better at this sort of thing because they are more likely to simply watch and enjoy a magic trick while it's in process instead of trying to analyze it in detail. To be fooled by a feint, you have to be familiar enough with fighting to know what the usual tells are. This can give rank beginners an edge over amateurs in certain situations.

I think that this is what you are noticing when you manage to fool all those "stupid" intellectuals. It's that these people are smart enough to figure out a few tells, but are not clever enough to understand that those tells are how magicians distract our attention in the first place.

But a few of us smart people are smart enough to know when retaining general awareness and court vision (that is, thoughtlessly meditating upon one's overall sensory experience) is more important than attempting detailed, conscious analysis. This often applies when observing a quick action, or when observing a completely unfamiliar action.

That is to say, in this case, I would know that I know nothing about magic tricks. I'm really smart, but obviously I can only outsmart other specialists within my own specialization, maybe. So my only way to notice anything amiss would be to clear my mind so that my instincts can operate unhindered.

You should not be so quick to dismiss the people who invented and maintain the technology you are typing these words on. Magicians are intellectuals too. It's a fantastically detailed and complicated artform. Every intellectual can do better than other intellectuals who are not trained in their specialization.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you are not a special snowflake, and you do not have any secret knowledge or superpowers that make you smarter than the rest of us. That's SJW thinking. Maybe your next magic trick should be to vanish your stinking pride.

No, a smart person understands their own capacity for making mistakes, observes the patterns in their mistakes, and implements strategies to prevent them moving forward.

I did around 2018. Eventually I just asked myself, “why am I so mad at Trump for?” And started doing my research. Then I started looking into the policies he had created and I liked them. I always felt like I was liberal minded but I always had conservative values and principles. I hate radicalism and have seen how the culture has been completely consumed by it on the left.

4
KeriSmith 4 points ago +4 / -0

I have heard this criticism before and though there is probably something to it, writing personal essays comes much more naturally to me than taking an authoritative tone and removing myself from what I write. This probably stems from not wanting to appear to be stating facts when what I’m stating is my opinion. SJWs confuse a lot of opinion for facts or truth and they push it that way. I’ve had enough of that. Plus - though my Unsafe Safe cohost speaks mostly to people who haven’t yet succumb to SJW ideology, I often to try to talk even to people who are still in it. They respond much better to appeals to emotion than to reason.

3
DissenterInChief 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don't be deterred by the overly harsh criticisms of some of our more prickly members here. "CancelBLM" is more than welcome to his position, but I think it's petty to rag on someone for their writing style, especially when the purpose of their writing is to shine a light on the unbelievably mainstream nature of one of the chief evils of our time. I believe he is missing the forest for the trees.

The purpose of this comment is not just to blindly come to your defense, nor to throw CancelBLM under the bus for voicing his thoughts. My purpose is to encourage you to keep expressing yourself in whichever way you please when you experience revelations. It's important that newly enlightened people are heard so that others who haven't been can hear a voice that sounds soft and moderate; not one that has been mired in bitterness for so long. Many of us here, myself included, can sound outright mean because we've seen and been subjected to so much evil at this point that it has jaded us immensely.

Keep doing what you are doing. It's valued.

-1
CancelBLM -1 points ago +1 / -2

They respond much better to appeals to emotion than to reason

So this is kind of like when Democrats leave the places they ruin and then keep voting for, and doing, the same garbo that ruined the last place they fled.

It's better if you leave that baggage with the bag holders. I don't really want your vote or support if you are bringing the same emotional garbo that drove the Left off the cliff with you. If that's the case all you are doing is opening the door to the same BS that ruined your last political party, but here.

The mob doesn't care what you use. Orange. Man. Bad. They just want to be mad. You're just watering this movement down if the only thing you bring is tossing your emotions over the wall in the other direction. To be honest, the sniff test smells like you got tired of the Left being your emotional tampon and now you're looking for attention somewhere else.

Earlier tonight I had a conversation with two friends; one of whom I believe voted for trump because he hated Hillary, and how the other voted is not known to me. Generally, I have been given the impression that they are mostly Moderate people, with a slight left lean.

The one whose vote I do not know has, about 2-3 years ago, made comments that indicate he believed that President Trump is sincerely racist.

Tonight that same friend stated that he thinks "a lot of people who believe Trump is racist probably only feel that way because the news tells them to feel that way." The other friend commented "Well, I just think Obama is an incredibly sick, and evil person." That is not a sentiment that I had ever heard him voice before tonight.

The Left is driving people to us. the longer they keep up these antics, the more people they send our way... Hopefully we get enough to landslide this bitch up in November. Either way i am going to vote like we don't, because the Leftists are going to cheat so damn much that we need to vote in record numbers to offset them.

29
dontUseVinegerAsLube 29 points ago +29 / -0

I just don't understand where the racist argument comes from. I have never heard Trump ever mention any race in a negative way. But I guess people still believe the "fine people" hoax.

23
leakmouth 23 points ago +23 / -0

Repeat the lie enough and it becomes the truth. My 14 year year old daughter is now totally convinced that Trump is racist but she can’t provide any evidence to support it. She simply believes it because so many other people (on social media) have parroted the lie. It’s maddening.

When asked about a wall, compare legal immigration to job interviews.

Why does your company spend a lot of time and resources vetting candidates for the company? Why do you do drug tests and criminal background checks?? Why don't you just let people come in if they wish? Is it not racist to not let anyone who wishes to be there to come in?

I challenge anyone to tell me how immigration and hiring are different in any way.

1
Frog_Anne 1 point ago +2 / -1

Another wall argument might be to point out that the Trump administration is going very hard against human trafficking and pedophiles. Paying a human trafficker is how many people enter illegally, and many women and children are molested and raped. Some are also forced into prostitution - well, sexual slavery really, they're not being paid. This was also the reason for separating "families" which happened in Obama's reign too, because not all those children are actually with families, they're being trafficked. The drug cartels and human traffickers that are doing these things are coming in freely because there's no wall.

I mean, given the two choices, seems like you'd have to be an ideological zombie not to vote for him, no? Jew-loving socialite sounds way better than "braindead pedophile", even for the Nazi type, I think.

And it's not like an actual Nazi type will ever get a candidate they don't hate. There are exactly zero other Nazi types on the ballot in any election in the USA.

So really who they vote for, or even if they do it at all, is a completely moot point.

-3
FormerGraveheart -3 points ago +1 / -4

My point is, though, that you don't know anything about these supposed radical right-winger Nazi types. You're making them up to be a strawman that you can dismiss. But I've talked to a lot of them, even here, and they are far better than the communists among us that are taking power.

2
Kipple 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think the important part is whether a racist voted for a candidate because they believe that candidate will be an advocate for realizing their hateful desires, or if they voted for a candidate because they believe that their candidate is the best to lead a country in general.

Because either way, all racists, rapists, murders, and thieves that are allowed to vote, are statistically likely to vote for either Trump or Biden. Whether we like it or not.

I will say. I have not jumped on the gay marriage train, and the more I see of their movement, the stronger my resistance to it has grown. Trump being okay with gay marriage is one of my biggest critiques of him.

Doesn't mean I think a gay person shouldn't live their life without interference, so long as they're being decent. Pushing for drag queens, sexualizing schools, or erasing gender doesn't count as being decent in my book. Nor did overturning our votes to force gay marriage down our throats.

But hey, do I have to agree with Trump on 100% of everything? No. But I'd like to see some pushback. Somewhere.

I voted Hillary 2016. When Trump won I was legit scared about police becoming the gestappo or whatever starting to patrol the streets... Then a year went by and I asked the simple question, "is Trump THAT bad???"

Jordan Peterson, John Stossel, and Ben Shapiro were my Red Pill and I'll never vote Democrat again.

2
Grief 2 points ago +3 / -1

Congrats being the first person to ever be red pilled by Ben Shapiro haha

3
Shalomtoyou 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think he red pills more than you think. Isn't Youtube full of Shapiro demolishing left wing ideologies?

1
Grief 1 point ago +1 / -0

No idea in all honesty. I know he's big on Facebook but I completely dismiss him based on the fact he was a Never Trumper. All the stuff the Democrats are supporting today was the same when he supported them against Trump, they're just more vocal now.

No one goes that far left and suddenly supports Trump. He made the move for money. I also heard his wife is a doctor? That's pretty cool.

1
Shalomtoyou 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well, there's two types of Never Trumpers.

One type couldn't bring themselves to vote for him in 2016. But once he won, they decided to see how he'd do, and already said they'd vote for him in 2020. (Steve Deace and I guess Ben Shapiro are in this group). Their "never Trump" expired after Election Day in 2016.

Others are joining with Democrats to unseat him in 2020, as well as other Republicans. This is William Kristol and the Lincoln Project and all the rest.

Well, I'm a Jewish supporter of Israel too, so there's that. Hell, my red-pill moment was when I saw the leftists siding with the Israel haters.

I like Shapiro, sometimes. Sometimes he gets a little grating. I think there's a bit of.... well... David French push the ridiculous "Drag queen story hour is the price of freedom." I'm not saying Shapiro is that bad, but he feels a bit like: "World is ending, it all sucks, now it's time for some things that I like and that I hate."

i remember 2016 in SF, CA i was just like "heh weird the dude that isnt establishment won thats unexpected"

but then i went to work. empty streets. at work empty desks. I checked the news like wtf? nothing just trump victory. then i realized. the people here were so chocked they called in sick. and from that day on i was on the trump train.

this is because clearly the msm had gotten so deep in the people psyche that it became instantly the enemy. i just hadn't realized how powerful the brainwashing was until then.

King_Supreme 16 points ago +16 / -0

the legacy media had not told me this was happening

We should all start using the term "LEGACY" Media, not mainstreet or lamestreet. Mainstreet gives the media credence, it gives the fake news outlets a sense of establishment and sway.

They don't have that, they are 'legacy,' dying dinosaurs that will publish any ridiculous fake story to stay relevant. But they have been left behind, and are slowly losing power and its only a matter of time until they are finally forgotten.

Mark Granovetter proposed threshold theory as a way of understanding riots. He said that there are those in a riot who have a threshold of zero, who will be the first to throw a rock, and there are not many of those. But then there are those with a threshold of 1, who will be emboldened to throw a rock as long as one other person is already doing it. And then there are those with a threshold of 2, and so on, until you get a full on mob or riot happening. I think this theory explains what is happening in the Democratic party today — not only in regards to actual riots, but in regards to why so many are now mindlessly parroting racist and sexist social justice beliefs. Because others are doing it.

Well the opposite is true too. I believe in a threshold theory for truth. I believe there are those, and there are relatively few of them, who have a threshold of zero and who will be the first to speak truth, even when they are mocked and maligned and threatened and lied about. And those brave people encourage others, they encourage those with a threshold of 1, to start speaking truth because they see at least one other person doing it, no matter the consequences. And those people inspire those with a threshold of 2, and so on, until truth prevails. One person turning on their light, can spark others to turn on their light. Martin Luther King Jr famously said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Or in the words of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, a man who brought down a version of this ideology once before, simply by speaking the truth: “To stand up for truth is nothing. Let your credo be this: Let the lie come into the world, let it even triumph…. But not through me.”

SPOT ON. Holy shit, this is so well written.

This is all I ask of a real democrat. Someone who is willing to talk, listen, and compromise, instead of the new brainwashed SJW marxist sexist racist.

I don't aim to force my views on others. But I will also not allow their views to be forced upon me.

In my point of view, this liberal deserves respect for their realization, as well as the eloquence of the description of the harsh moments when their eyes were first opened.

I know there are many more who have made those same hard realizations. You have our support.

Help us take our country back.

Well said, thank you for sharing what it means to be American. We don't all have to think alike, we just need to respect each other first and foremost. The real problem lies in those who seek to control others thoughts... Those are the ones who divide us by color, age, sex or any other category they can.

Reminds me of Dr Karlyn:

After Attending a Trump Rally, I Realized Democrats Are Not Ready For 2020

I’ve been a Democrat for 20 years, but my experience made me realize just how out of touch my party is with the country at large

5
dontUseVinegerAsLube 5 points ago +6 / -1

What they REALLY mean is that we must speak their ideology, and only their ideology, or else remain quiet. They are the FIRST to use racist and sexist and homophobic slurs against anyone brave enough to stand up to their backwards beliefs.

EXACTLY. This is how you differentiate a liberal from a TDS lefty.
