I know here the unemployment office started a "shared work" program. Where employment security will cover up to 50% of lost wages. So your employer can cut your hours down to 50% and you'll get 25% of your lost wages. Your employer has to apply for and get signed up for the program. It doesn't sound bad because then it means your employer doesn't have to pay you off, but it incentivses employers to cut your hours. And with the $600 a week we were getting it really did. People could keep their jobs and make more money staying home a day or two.
Trump is showing that economy can actually be robust with just some common sense policies. People who suppress it have to go out of their way to suppress it. Think about why they would work harder to screw people over.
That's why their aren't nearly as many people outraged as there should be. They are being paid off and are happy for it. Meanwhile plenty of people continue to work their asses off and don't make near as much as those people do sitting on their asses.
