Because Jews aren't suicidal, A) and B) there's a LOT that goes into building the third temple. It has to be built perfectly to instructions. I'm talking, it has to be built to the exact mm, latitude, longitude, etc. I could go into more details, but it's not like they can just say, alright we're funding it. First they'd actually have to convince the Arab world that it's a good replacement for Temple Mount (news flash, it isn't in the Arab'a eyes, and won't be for a looooong time) and secondly, they'd have to build it nothing less than perfect or else it will displease G-d. So who's going to be willing to take up the torch on not only reclaiming that spot, but also making sure that all the design specifications are actually perfect in G-d's eyes?
All true. You may know there is a group that has been making all the necessary preparations for a long time. And we have a POTUS that's making progress towards Jews having access to more of the important places.
I don't know how all this will play out. It's entirely possible to read Scripture such that everything necessary for Jesus' return happened, a long time ago. We are the Temple. We are to be perfect, without spot or blemish, or any such thing ...
