What blows my mind is how none of them saw this coming. Kind of off topic but I remember talking to a leftist years ago about the dangers of the Euro and how it will mean an end to national sovereignty. He was like, "OH MY GOD IT'S JUST MONEY". They live in a world where all that exists are completely independent events without causation.

Like, for example, do you now see abortion as killing something that absolutely is a human life, and person created with inalienable rights?
Can't speak for DJFG, but for me it was recognizing the signs of the programming and then consequently seeing those signs every fucking where. In TV, in Music, in advertisements. Once I was able to recognize the tactic the entire curtain fell.
So it is like now you have the tools to reject the programming and instead think for yourself. And so you could come to various conclusions on specific issues, but it would b YOUR conclusion and not what you are told?

For me it was when I watched the video of Ben Shapiro with Bob "Zoe" Tur. Back then I believed that Obummer was a decent dude and the reason he never got anything done was because of all the nasty evil bible bashing Republicans blocking him. I even used to watch the young turds. Then I saw this video doing the rounds, saw this 6'5" brute insulting, demeaning, touching and even threatening a smaller man who was very polite but disagreed with him. Then I saw the TYT video on it where they completely lied about it, they showed only specific clips but left out clips of the brute flat out threatening to beat up Ben. They had the quote, they obviously had access to the clip, instead they pretended Ben started it all, then left out the clip of Bob threatening Ben and lied and said that Ben was quaking in his shoes. And honestly, that was it, as soon as I saw with my own eyes just how much they lie, just how crazily they will spin shit and flat out lie about every little thing, I just started to question what else they were lying about.
Then watching Ben led to a video involving Crowder, Milo and Christina. And honestly, thats what accelerated it for me. It dispelled the old image of the Right as stuffy, angry, bible thumping Christians and showed them having fun, enjoying themselves while the Left was excusing violence, getting angry non stop and just being a bunch of cunts about every little thing. The Left was always excusing their own violence while the Right was having a good time and being persuasive.
After that I just started examining the other sides perspective, I believed in some limits to speech but then saw the Left wanting to make it illegal to even question things, like for example, the holocaust numbers and saw just how quickly even "minor" restrictions can race out of hand. Any criticism of anyones ideas was deflected as "You just hate them because of their race/gender/etc." I started looking at how the government spends my/our money and seeing how shit a job they did at it. And I think the final straw for me, the part where I saw the Left as being beyond evil, was seeing how they all lie about the Republicans part in slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, black civil rights. How stupid the idea of "muh party switch" is but how they all just act like its truth and you have to be stupid to even question it. And I see the Right (usually) fighting for their own countries (though I am from NZ so thats the exception. In NZ the "Right" sell us out to China and India, the Left sell us out to China, India and the middle east...) whereas the Left is happy to destroy their own people and bring in foreigners who sure, enrich the politicians now, but will leave our countries in shambles in a few decades.
And now, I dunno, I still don't like the bible bashing aspect of the Right, but I now see the value in living by traditional values. Christian households are usually much happier, have a higher standard of living, raise happier children and just seem to be better people than Lefties. So I prefer to think of myself more as a Trump supporter, more center right than actual right. I want the government out of my life as much as possible, so for example, I believe weed should be decriminalized, euthanasia should be legal and abortion, while still a moral wrong, should be legal up till 13 weeks and should be self funded.
The Right became more accommodating towards the middle and welcomed ideas. The Left "became" vicious, lying, hateful assholes whose only purpose is to destroy anyone and anything standing between them and power.

I know we call them leftists, but I really think the most accurate description is "statists." They believe in a stationary world that doesn't respond.
