0.1% is the mortality for the flu -- of the ENTIRE POPULATION. That is, 0.1% of the entire populations gets the flu and dies FROM the flu.

0.001% if the entire population dies "from" the common cold -- but these are always people who have co-morbidities and would've died anyway. No one dies FROM the cold. They die with the cold, or due to conditions initiated by the cold.

COVID-19, if we are to believe the numbers, has killed about 0.03% of our population. A lot of data suggests that this is actually people who died WITH coronavirus, not people who died FROM coronavirus. I believe in Italy someone dug deep into their data and found only 2% of the deaths were FROM coronavirus, while the rest were WITH coronavirus, so the actual death rate is about 0.006%.

COVID-19 IS THE COMMON COLD.

Funny you say that, considering the common cold is in the coronavirus family.
