In 2013 I'd say "thanks for giving us Obama." But seeing how Obama's atrocious 8 years ushered in Donald J. Trump I now say, "Good thing you pouted at home and let Obama win."
That damned count my vote BS killed great Utah Republican primaries. IIRC it didn't get enough traction to really make it, but then they switched to make it so previously elected officials ended up only needing to get a small number of signed petitions to get on a general ballot where mass marketing almost always wins.

If there's one thing that's more certain than a black person voting Democrat, it's a Mormon voting for a Mormon. Any Mormon.

Truth be told, I could not in good conscious vote for Romney so I abstained.
That said, I can definitely understand why some would feel pissed off (or betrayed) about abstaining in that vote.
