Episode Recap:
(I love old star trek)
__
They were being used by the bald hippie in the middle of the picture to sabotage the ship and steal it. The hippies in the episode were being manipulated into stealing the ship by the evil bald guy and were told it was to save lives the federation wouldn't save. The hippies used music and dancing to distract the crew.
Oh course Trump, I mean Cpt. Kirk seduces one of the girls and stops them. He convinces the hippies what they are doing is wrong and how its easy to be used by evil men.
I guess not much, since you completely botched your plot summary.
The hippies hijack a shuttle, go down to the planet they wanted to get to, and find out that the whole place is poisonous. Some are burned by acid, others die when they try to eat the plants.
The difference between Star Trek hippies and real-life commies is that the Star Trek hippies allowed Captain Kirk to rescue them, whereas the real-life commies are doubling down on their stupidity, begging for vegan food donations while setting everything around them on fire.
Old Star Trek inspired by the Cold War, and all the old guys had been in WWII. It was in relation to STNG that I first heard the term "politically correct" because it was. Oh, and I despise Wesley Crusher.
Most people seem to call it what it is. Hard to tell though with lockdown, but people I do encounter are sick of it. Very different story at corporate though. CEO and HR are 100% go BLM go. So there is a culture a fear about speaking out. It's actually really bad because there can never be opposition at this point. It would be met with literal violence. The police only seem to protect the people attacking them, it's weird here.
Glad to hear that. I have a niece in Vancouver who swears nothing is happening. I’ve always thought she was a very intelligent young woman. Blew me away when she said that. Unfortunate to see family and friends in a whole different light.
Nothing is happening in Vancouver, just like it isn't in the suburb I live in 10 minutes from the action. We do have a BLM guy that stands on the main drag with his silence is violence sign shaking his fist at everyone.
Shatner actually had a pretty epic back and forth with some SJW's on Twitter the other day I guess.
I never touch that app because it's pure cancer but Geeks and Gamers did a pretty funny vid of it on YT. Shatner wasn't having any of the cancel culture bullshit.
I re-watched the original series recently, and loved how based it was (usually through Kirk's mouth). He was constantly telling people to take responsibility, work hard and think for themselves rather than let some powerful entity take care of them.

This is so true. And it's why we're at a very special point in human history right now.

The Star Trek aliens look more human IMO.

I re-watched the original series recently, and loved how based it was (usually through Kirk's mouth). He was constantly telling people to take responsibility, work hard and think for themselves rather than let some powerful entity take care of them.
TOS = only star trek, change my mind
Classic Trek meme, I approve....now do TNG!
There is no other star trek, Herbert.
🖖 Picard > Kirk 🖖
Picard = metro sexual soyboi
Kirk = well.... Kirk.
That is some big brain logic there, don't care still voting Picard!
As a side note, the girl on the left used to be Chekov’s girlfriend.
