Nashville here. Worn one once to the eye doctor and it made me sick to my stomach, like in a stupid way, not sick. I rationalized it by thinking "since I value this service I'll do as they ask".
But that was it and months ago.
I make direct eye contact, am friendly, talk to everyone, even seek out management to see if they'll at least HINT at a mask, since, ya know there's a 10ft double sign I just strolled by saying they are required... Nothing.
I'm glad I'm not the only one anymore (it felt). I'd go grocery shopping and EVERYONE had one on except me... That's a pretty fucked up feeling but you get used to it.
Now there's about 4 or 5 in a store without, sometimes workers, it's loosing its grip or some law isn't being enforced anymore I guess..
To me this is kind of a no brainer. If the powers that be can't come to a full consensus about which lie they want to run with and kill enough people to make the lie believable, well fuck all, I ain't playing. Everyone else can rationalize why they play the game, but I don't give a shit.
Edit: I've also have gotten used to open carrying now too so that's always nice.
When I open carry, I'll have another gun in a pocket holster just in case a bad guy or gal decides to grab my exposed gun. I think that scenario is unlikely, but it's best to be prepared. Sig P938 is my favorite pocket gun.
*I mean it's legal because of the 2nd Amendment, but the 2nd is the bastard red-headed stepchild of the Bill of Rights so not every state actually allows it as it should be.

Why not concealed if it's legal*?

I don't wear one either. The last time I wore one I also felt really sick and disgusted, it triggered my anxiety so badly.
