Carter wasn't just incompetent!
He tried to get the Soviets to interfere in the 1980 election by assisting him!
When he raised taxes as we were going into a recession a report asked him if that would hurt the economy, he lied and said that it wouldn't and if it did he would lower taxes back to the original rate. The economy tanked so Carter raised taxes again. He was a liar and started the Department of Education which wrecked public education and squandered billions of dollars!
