Absolutely; holy smokes this is gonna destroy the state. All those jobs and a massive travel infrastructure, GONE. And now no food delivery during a “pandemic” which is probably super lucrative for restaurants and drivers. Goodbye restaurants.

I FULLY believe major ballot issues haven’t been decided by voters in CA for decades. EVERYTHING they want passs by a “slim margin” every time.

There is no true voting in CA today, it’s a leftist dictatorship. Every tax hikes gets approved and stays, every new gun law, EVERYTHING the Democrats want stays. It’s all a lie

Some argue these referendums are unconstitutional. We are not a democracy. We choose representatives to vote on behalf of their constituency.

It’s bullshit. We have no rights in this fucking state. I refuse to believe stuff like “pot hole” taxes keep getting passed legitimately.

Also, they want to repeal the civil rights legislation that banned affirmative action. Regressive politics at its finest.

Well this is a redpill overdose, just like the morons that wanted 15 an hour for flipping burgers....oh noooo that sucks you all lost your jobs and got hours slashed to fuck. Funniest thing about this is it will affect Millennials the most. Finally those idiots get to eat crow. Next on the chopping block is delivery app businesses like doordash. Shits hilarious.

I'm torn, on one hand, fuck California, on the other hand, fuck Lyft and Uber. They literally pay their drivers slave wages and use their huge resources to sue cities into forcing them to allow their cab services even when the service violates the city PUC and regulations for cab services.

They should both rot...

California Assembly Bill 5 (AB5), popularly known as the “gig worker bill,” is a piece of legislation signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom in September 2019. Scheduled to go into effect on Jan. 1, 2020, it will require companies that hire independent contractors to reclassify them as employees, with a few exceptions.

No, it sucks, because it fucks over independent contractors and freelancers.

Los Angeles could use a knee pad factory.
