I just don't bother to participate in the groups anymore and don't purchase anything through their links, unless it's a free pattern and the designer has refrained from exposing me to TDS.
It's well known that this knitting website somehow became a hotspot of TDS and leftist bullying a few years ago. Maybe look elsewhere?
