You say, “I bet if the government told you, you could contract COVID-19 through your asshole, you would walk around with your thumb up your ass all day”......

I like to ask if its based on a company decision or the government mandate. If they say Gov. I say well there are exceptions and I go shop. If they say it's there own policy. I explain how that policy lost them my business. All polite.

My best no-mask shopping results have come from speaking with the mask police at the entrance as privately as possible. When they say "You can't come in without a mask", no need to make a scene. Be calm.

In Texas, "I have a medical condition" works with the governor's wording in the state executive order. You just have to claim that you are exempt using their own "laws".

Seems to me that medical exemptions are widespread. Guidelines are not laws, and technically cannot be enforced. Governors do not write laws; legislators do.

Because companies like Walmart are open to the public (unlike Costco) they can be held commercially liable for discrimination under ADA. Guidelines, mandates, and executive orders only apply to those who passively consent to being ordered around.
