Birther is the perjorative term for those who question the eligibility of a candidate.
Normies will automatically tune us out if we say birther. So rather than say birther, say something like eligibility. We don't want to give them firepower.
She was born in Oakland CA, her parents were legal immigrants, but that doesnt even matter. The way the laws are interpreted even if her parents were illegals she'd be a citizen.
Almost right. If her parents were here legally and she was born on US soil then that makes here a natural citizen.
If her parents were illegal then she is not a citizen.
Read the 14th Amendment.
If they meant it to say that anyone born on US soil is a citizen then that's all they would have said. The 14th Amendment makes it clear that the parents have to be here legally under our jurisdiction.
Just because the Libs have interpreted the 14th amendment wrong for decades doesn't mean we have to.
I agree that the 14th was never intended to include the children of illegals. I would even argue that US v Wong Kim Ark does not include the children of illegal aliens or tourists.
But it doesnt matter, it's been interpreted that way (I don't think there's been any rulings on it though) for decades. As things stand the children of illegals are citizens at birth, and until an anchor baby is denied citizenship and the case works its way though the courts this will remain true. And even then, we're not going to be able to retroactively strip people of citizenship. I dont like it either, but its reality
Oh I'm not saying that because its been interpreted in such a ridiculous way it always must be so. But its going to take some county or state official to deny an anchor baby citizenship or congress to pass some law or Trump to sign an EO explicitly saying children of illegal aliens are not citizens and it will be challenged and the courts will have it out and decide. I wouldn't trust the current SC to rule on it right now.
It does need to change though, its god damn ridiculous

She's not a natural born citizen is that right?
No, she is a citizen and was at birth.

Yes the retroactive thing would be messy. I don't have an answer for that.
But because it's been interpreted wrong for a long time is no defense and it doesn't mean illegals are actual citizens.
Past rulings if wrong for decades doesn't mean it can't be corrected.
If that were true then we would never have been able to correct Jim Crow.
If that were true then we won't be able to fix Roe Wade.

Yes it desperately needs to be clarified.
No person with a functioning brain thinks it's sane for illegals to come in, have babies and then say those babies are citizens of the USA.
That said, I agree with you, I'm not sure there are 5 on the SCOTUS who can think properly.
Still, this is an issue that has always been a second term fix.
A more accurate answer is that these questions haven't been tested, but there is certainly an argument that she is ineligible.
It depends on her parents immigration status at the time of her birth.
Unfortunately the majority of Biden's base is very low IQ and they will eat this shit up.
Yeah well now everyone is going to know she’s not really all that black.
Trump needs to simply ban reports that ask stupid questions. Fuck 'em.
